Week 22 Match Reports: Power Continue To Lead

Here are the match reports from Saturday’s seven Faz Super Division Week 22 matches played on Saturday September 10.

Red Arrows 1-Forest Rangers 1

Red Arrows stayed second on the Faz Super Division table after coming from behind to draw 1-1 away to Forest Rangers in Ndola on Saturday.

Nasha Kaya gave Forest a 1-0 lead into half time before Arrows leveled to share the points in the last 45 minutes through Jeff Kapelwa.

Green Eagles 1-Nkwazi 0

Green Eagles moved from 14th to 12th position and out of the relegation zone after a 1-0 home win over Nkwazi.

Midfielder Kebby Hachipuka scored  the lone goal in that match for the hosts three points.

Green Buffaloes 0-Power Dynamos 0

Green Buffaloes and Power Dynamos played out to a game that had hitherto the 70th minute was uninspiring showdown.

Power showed no hunger of a team that was top of the table until ex-international prospect midfielder Patrick Kasunga came on for Simon  Bwalya.

Kasunga arrival signified a spark in Power’s game but that was it, as they showed nothing to convince they had the hunger for the 2011 Super Division crown.

Nkana 0-Zanaco 2

All was quiet on the northern front atWusakile in Kitwe when Nkana were convincingly beaten 20 at home by Zanaco.

Defender Charles Siyingwa scored his 5th goal of the season in the 36th minute to put  Zanaco ahead before a rare goal from striker Makundika Sakala made sure of the three points in the 81st minute.

Lime Hotspurs 1-Nakambala Leopards 0

Ex-Zambia captain Clive Hachilensa scored the lone goal in this match to give promoted Lime Hotspurs their sixth win of the season.

Kalewa 1-Kabwe Warriors 0

Bottom placed Kalewa reminded Kabwe Warriors that they were in a crisis after beating their guests 1-0 in Ndola today.

Nkana, Lusaka Tigers and ex-Zambia international midfielder Boston Mwanza scored the game’s lone goal.

Roan United 0-Nchanga Rangers 1

Nchanga Rangers recorded their third successive win as they continued on their quiet rise up the Super Division table.

Rangers are fourth on the table thanks to a goal from Aubrey Chilundumanya.
