TP Mazembe Target Thomas Nyirenda

TP Mazembe of DR Congo are said to be chasing Zambia and Konkola Blades utility midfielder Thomas Nyirenda’s signature.

Blades secretary Michael Nsefu said in an interview that TP is one of three foreign clubs that has expressed interest in Nyirenda.

“It is true. Mazembe, a Chinese club and a South African club are interested in Nyirenda,” Nsefu said.

Nyirenda is one of dozen regular home-based players in the Zambia national team.

He played in Zambia’s 2-1 away win over Comoros on September 5 in a 2012 Africa Cup group C qualifier.

  1. It is so shameful that even a country like Congo DR still reeling from many years of political and economic turmoil besides the devasting war can be chasing our players to play in their clubs, while we have NEVER gone after anyone apart from recruiting usless coaches.
What is wrong with this country?
    We need to change

  2. And somebody thinx futbo in Zambia will improve with our suppozedly “hot” playerz going to Congo DR or indeed South Africa?

  3. #1 DR Congo is far better off than our country Zambia. Let them (player) flock were they get paid for their jobs. When Katanga (a province) closes it border Zambia (a country) suffers. Too much ittesponsible has resulted into mismanagement of assets and public property in Zambia. No own airline, railway is delapidated no hourly train operating. What is the work of ministry of transport when you have only one train in a country of 12million people?? Ethiopia dispite of drought has airlines ..ba zambia what are you doing???
