Former Luangeni Member of Parliament, Angela Cifire has resigned from the Opposition MMD.
Ms Cifire who is also former Deputy Information Minister, told ZNBC News that she has resigned from the MMD.
Ms Cifire says she felt unappreciated by the MMD despite having put so much into the party.
Ms Cifire has however not stated what her next political move will be.
She lost the constituency to independent candidate, Charles Zulu in the September 20 polls.

I see you are still smarting from defeat, it is true that the PF does not have the majority in parliament but that does not mean that they will not be able to forge alliances. If you are UPND, you must even realise that you missed the chance to be in Government due to that arrogant approach.
PF needs 105 Memebers of Parliament to have a two-thirds majority. A the moment, they may have 62 and if they convince independents to work with them they will be at 73 including nominated members. Some high level negotiations must be going on right now to find some working relationship, am sure Milupi would be happy to work together. This, however should not resul in resignations and by-elections but mere working arrangements, Obama is workng under the same arrangements with Congress

We are counting the days and will see what will happen by the end of the famous 90 days. MMD is not finished as others may say. It is a very strong opposition which need quick re branding. MMD will do their work effectively in Parliament just like PF did to ensure that a constitution with a lot of good content is not adopted, they are at liberty to do whatever they feel is not in line with their Manifesto. After 90 days we will see what money will be in our pockets and if not enough, the impeachment process will start so that we go for early elections to bring in Mutati.
