  1. 29years ??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

  2. The english is too bemblish or is it mufulirish. Good luck Captain. I think you also deserve to be Captain in the Zambia Army upon your retirement from active football. Good luck Zambia

    • Typical!! If I brought an English person and say speak Chibbemba, they can make a few mistakes. His english is far much better than the English we hear from many people.

  3. At least akamba Chizungu, Mbesuma anakangiwa ku EPL chifukwa cha chizungu. Elo sanabadwire m’nyumba ya Kwini Elizabeti, ku mangalandeeeeee! Go Zambia, Go Zambia. I am singing Mozegeta, “Ba Zambia …. mwilasakamana …..lero tulewinaaaaa!

  4. Zooona, ba captain bachaya international ku China, mu club yaba henan construction, ninshi na game manje kuchayako nama construction ngayavuta ka, honestly we can do better then muli kumfu, karate etc, personallly with this calibre i do not expect miralces in todays game. of course in football logic does not follow but somehow strategy and tactics matters and u do not expect strategies and tactics from football played in china.

  5. Last time checked, katongo had scored over 40 goals for Zambia. Maybe I dont know what counts, actually, should he continue playing for Zambia, he may overtake great kalu as the all-time highest scorer. Kalu scored 49 goals in 100 apperances for Zambia, Katongo has appeared only about 60 times. While he may not be as high profile as the Great Kalu, I think he will go down as one of the greats for Zambia! I m not sure about his age, however, I would be happy if we atleast focussed more on the positives as we face senegal tonight.

  6. Was he really 17 years old when he moved to GBFC? And by then he’d already played for Butondo Western Tigers and Kalulushi Modern Stars. I suppose for football players, every two years counts as 1 year…

  7. @ 10 Kalu is not the all time scorer, it is Godfrey Chitalu, one time in 1972 he scored 107 goes in a season a record that has not yet been broken at least in Zambia, he is also among the few in the world that has done so. He did well not only on the pitch but in coaching too, coz he and Alex chola drilled the greatest team KK eleven that Zambia ever had, unfortunately perished together with the whole team. He is the best legend we currently have in Zambia followed by Kalusha etc

  8. I like the tone of confidence in his voice, especially when he explains that “Africa has it’s own flair of football. ” Well, enough of the talking, let’s see some goals tonight… like the soccer experts say: the taste of the pudding is in the eating.

  9. Let us conduct these interviews in our mother tongue. No need to use English! Bring interpreters if you want english. Why don`t you copy from other non-native english speaking countries like France, German, Brazil or even China. We want our players to express themselves fully. This guy Katongo has made valid points. Football is 90 minutes, we have seen the so called big names failing to score at the World Cup or even Africa Cup. Team spirit is all we need, though Bwana Captain, we want more goals in the first half of the game. Let us avoid coming from behind. That way, we will shade-off unnecessary pressure on ourselves. Good luck Chipolopolo!
