State house has distanced itself from Mr.Alfred Chipoya. The following is a statement issued to the media by George Chellah the Special Assistant to the President on Press and public relations.
The Presidency wishes to clarify that Mr. Alfred Chipoya is no longer a member of the Presidential staff at State House.
State House separated with Mr. Chipoya on 24th January 2012 upon discovery that he was corruptly and irregularly re-engaged by Cabinet Office as Senior Private Secretary during the transition when President Michael Sata was preparing to take office after the September 20, 2011 general elections.
State House has learnt that infact, Mr Chipoya’s contract as Principal Private Secretary at the time, was terminated by President Mr. Rupiah Bwezani Banda in 2008.
President Sata did not re-engage Mr Chipoya and was surprised to learn that he now had a new contract as Senior Private Secretary. The President has since revoked this purported appointment and asked Mr Chipoya to immediately vacate office.
As a result, State House wishes to inform the entire civil service and general public that Mr. Chipoya can no longer represent the Presidency. Those who may deal with him must understand that they are engaging him in his personal capacity and State House will not take responsibility of any such dealings.
State House has opted to confine itself to this specific subject matter; leaving the rest of the issues that are being raised in the media to Mr. Chipoya to make clear to the general public.
nonsense as usual . these foools
A rather confusing statement…but I guess it is code to say that Mr Chipoya is back on the streets and shall be arrested soon…..!
Exactly – couldn’t have said it better
kekekekeke, ni circus pa Zed mwe!
What is that protrusion on the side of Mr Chellah’s head, or is it just the picture?
efyo waya mona pofye ifyo fine? mbulwamano, why even worry about personal features? look at the substance of the story
Comedy never ceases pa zed. In sata rule it will always be ke ke ke ke ke ke ke ke ke ke ke ke ke ke ke ke eiiich!
Ba Lusaka Times Vizungu ati President Mr. Rupiah Bwezani Banda WAT! IS IT PRESINDENT MR. RUPIAH OR PRESIDENT RUPIAH?” let me know
The fact is that Chipoya is a just a lightweight kaluvale individual. If he was from a big tribe he would not be treated like this. The vultures around Sata realised they have a small tribe person in their midist and they could just kick him out to give the job to another Bemba. We know the drill and culture in State House now. PF govt is a huge tribalistic machinery that only listens if your tribe has potential to cause problems for them. How can an entire president be working with a personal advisor at that level whom he doesn’t even know? State House is full of illiterates and tribalists, starting with the president himself. Michael Sata should know that he is wasting his time on small things; he will leave state house and within a month nobody will even remember he ever existed!
This is is fake and obnoxious.Â
you are one bitter son of a so and so bring the women in your life to mayfair, we bless them with big cocks from big tribes
Why has it taken more than 5 months to know that someone working so closely to the president is illegally employed?
‘he was corruptly and irregularly re-engaged by Cabinet Office as Senior Private Secretary ‘ Who corruptly re-engaged him? How? why? Lets get the answers pls. This means more people were involved in this corruption and we want to know them
yaba twanakamwe
Bakwetu ngacili
Skunk Bitter UPND Tonga prick AND MULIKISHI – You mean you have no sensible response to my comment? Typical of all PF kambwangas and leaders. You all have just big talent : BIG MOUTH AND TALKING TOO MUCH. Even your leader Sata has openly said if only your talking too much was an industry, Zambia would progress. If Chipoya was Bemba or from another big tribe he would not be humiliated the way he has been – atleast Sata would have bothered to find a more serious reason for kicking him out – not this s.t.u.p.i.d reason that for all these months Sata has been operating with a Special Assistant he doesn’t know even where the hell he came from. Does Sata think we are a bunch of i.d.i.o.t.s? With all the intelligence around him it had to take 4 months for them to realise? C’mon…
You are indeed an idiot!Â
Byo byobyo byobyooo byobyo…
Mr Chella’s chaotic thinking can be explained by the presence of that tumour on the side of his head. The young man needs to be ‘evacuated’, the sooner the better!
Patriotic fools @ work.
Lol! Chipoya was not detected by Kolwestan radars. Unfortunately he is been found out with his iffy Bemba lingua. You have to be a kanabesa to survive in Sata’s govt. I never thought I would, in my adult life, live in a Zambia where the President of the country is actively promoting Tribal hegemony! It will be interesting to see how this will end. With the PF Communism that is currently been planted one wonders what we hold this tribal cabal together in the face of an unravelling economy brought about by policies driven by spite, greedy and disgusting business illiteracy!
it is the first time i am hearing of this much confusion at state house since i was born 31 years ago. what is the meaning of all this? is this the sign of bad things to come or other wise..
President Serpent Cobra Sata enjoys firing people and this is exactly what he used to do when at LUDC. Lots of workers were fired in unexplained circumstances because Serpent Cobra Sata wanted to work with thieving Town Clerk Winter Kabimba his right hand man in PF. They shared houses among themselves and to day they are behaving like angels, GOD forbid.
#7 Gokigo Milazhe, If you careful analyse the press release you will notice that CABINET OFFICE irregularly pushed Chipowa to his position as Senior private secretary to the president. Sata house staff are not political appointees these people are civil servants so you dont expect a president to employ even a gardener at state house, do you? So Chipowa was not employed by Sata hence the reason why the president not knowing how he ended up in his camp. When President Sata was changing staff at state house you guys cried foul that he was changing even the civil servants, now that we know that there are still civil servants that have been carried over from RB, you still cry saying ‘how can a president not know who works for him’ so what do you people want? Do u want a COI even for Chipowa?
@ 19 did you even bother to read the article above, Chipoya was not irregularly pushed into office because he was not carried over from the RB government because he was did not work for that president, he last served with Levy. The appointment was made after PF was put in govt. One moment he is corrupt the next moment it was an irregular appointment, they can’t even get there facts straight. It is either they needed someone who knows the job to show it to there new pipo and now that they feel conversant they can just do away with him, or it is a problem of a minority tribe whichever the case it is wrong.Â
Goerge Chella ukulya bwino kwatampa ukumufuluma nabo ba bosi bakwe, state house naisanguka jaribu.
If you chaps are not tribal, give the job to sibaula silwamba, your friend
Zambia is a basket case now. It appears even taking a bath now will be riddled with corruption! How does such a simple thing as appointment and secondment result into corrupt practices??? Is this how low a country of a high literacy rate has sunk? We acquire knowledge and education to use on duping others and shortcircuiting systems? If you don’t read where this is happening you would think this is the DRC or some such failed state!
Don’t worry, Mr. Chipoya. Tomorrow State House will say it was misquoted.
LMAO!!!! Comedy Central!!
“Mr. Chipoya was corruptly and irregularly re-engaged by Cabinet Office as Senior Private Secretary during the transition when President Michael Sata was preparing to take office after the September 20, 2011 general elections.”
President Sata did not re-engage Mr Chipoya and was surprised to learn that he now had a new contract as Senior Private Secretary. The President has since revoked this purported appointment and asked Mr Chipoya to immediately vacate office.
This is rather confusing. I thought Mr. Chipoya was head hunted by Sata. What corruption are we talking about here? Corruptly re-engaged or receiving brown envelopes for arranging meetings between the president and would be investors? This government is becoming a joke.
but chipoya was sworn in by sata and when people were complaining about lack of northwesterners in govt, chipoya’s name was given as an example by HEMCS himself. “Others sworn-in yesterday were Laban Mwenya (Deputy Minister of Transport, Works, Supply and Communication), Fredson Yamba (Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Finance), Elywin Chomba (Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Community Development, Mother and Child Health), Ing’utu Suba (Permanent Secretary, Southern Province), Evaristo Mwila (senior private secretary in the office of the vice-president) and Alfred Chipoya (senior private secretary).”
is this reliable information? where did you find this? can you give a source? Are these new appointments?Â
Nepotism is the order of the day. They say Bemba supremacy matters more.
When i first heard about the appointment of Mr. Chipoya, my first question was: a Lunda from Yambezhi working with Sata? I knew the man would not last! I guess its a relief for Mr. Chipoya. I don`t think there is any principled person who can work with Sata. Only relatives and those who can`t earn living using their brains but from tax payers.
