PF Councillor expelled for aiding opposition

Share

Patriotic Front (PF) in Luwingu district has with immediate effect expelled its Mushituwamboo Ward Councilor in Lubansenshi constituency for allegedly interacting with Lubansenshi independent Member of Parliament Patrick Mucheleka during the high court secession in Kasama.

According to a letter of expulsion dated 25th January 2012 addressed to Patrick Chinyimba and signed by the party chairman Kephas Chofwe copied to the District Council Secretary, Provincial and Constituency Chairmen and made available to Zambia News and Information Services in Luwingu district Mr Chinyimba has been accused of supporting Mr Mucheleka.

“I am hereby informing you that you have been expelled from the party and no longer Mushituwamboo Ward Councilor since you opted to support the independent candidate,” read Mr Chinyimba’s letter.

Mr Chofwe also stated that Mr Chinyimba aggressively supported independent candidate Mr Patrick Mucheleka during the run up to last year’s tripartite elections making it difficult for PF to win Lubansenshi constituency in the area.

He further stated that Mr Chinyimba who is also Lubansenshi constituency chairman was seen by the PF provincial leadership with independent Member of Parliament and his group standing outside the High court premises in Kasama last month.

Mr Chofwe further advised the Ward Councilor to join any political party of his choice but not PF and thanked him for his wonderful service rendered to the party which saw opposition movement for multiparty democracy MMD losing the elections.

“Your services will be remembered, you are free to join any political party but not PF,” the letter ended.

  1. Kwena ni PF. There are no procedures. Was the councillor called before a discplinary committee to exculpate himself? So if you are PF member you are not allowed to have friends that belong to the opposition. PF is something else

  2. I am seeing nonsense in him. There is no grounds for his dismissal. Fire him out instead. How will we develop the country if every MPs, ministers, cabinet ministers all come from PF .. Look at that trophy in the country, which was won through team spirit, If the players where from one club = impossible to beat any nation team of other countries. Work for the betterment of the gvt NOT the party plse!!!!

  3. Interacting with an opposition MP is ground for expulsion? They are all political and civic leaders serving the same communities and are not supposed to interact? Give me a break! Malabishi!

  4. Disappointing! Ba PF don’t u knw that every vote counts? How do u go as far as telling him he can join any other party jus not PF? Jus so u remember it, tho most of us supported u, it wasn’t a landslide victory! Treat ya pips wit respect. U were democratically elected.

  5. If am pf and my young brother is mmd,I should never be seen talking to him at any public place!Ni donchi kubeba, things will just be happening like that! All old friends should be enemies for the sake of the party!MMD should fire RB for going to state as well?tipical pf hatred and no wonder they shun even funerals other parties.

  6. There are rules in any political party or an organization which guide an individual who belong to that party or organization. Now with Mr. Chinyimba it was another issue. He was busy campaigning for an independent Hon. Mucheleka. He was mixing even the party regalia, you could see him in a t- shirt for PF and cap for independent which was confusing. the best thing he would have been resigned and campaigned for independent.
now this is the outcome of disobeying party constitution.

  7. its fun how some ppo twist a simple story to suit them.the councillor has been expelled from the party for opting to support the independent candidate.u mean if a UPND MP is supporting PF bo HH can just look at him and clap ati thats the way to go.if our defenders were seen to b aiding ivory coast to win would we b celebrating today.NO!
