TIZ dissapointed with political appointments.

PF cadres

Transparency International Zambia (TIZ) says it is disappointed with the appointment of cadres as district commissioners.

TIZ executive director Goodwell Lungu said it is sad to note that President Michael Sata is slowly backtracking on most of the pronouncements he made during campaigns.

Mr. Lungu said President Sata has every right to appoint anyone regardless of political affiliation but states that he needs to keep his word of appointing cadres to public office.

Speaking in an interview, Mr. Lungu said TIZ will watch the president very closely so that he does not do the opposite of what he promised.

  1. I’m planing to grow pop corn ,in all my fields this year.

I foresee a serious demand for pop corns in these 4 & half years.

More drama more pop corn sales!

  2. TIZ, you are finished the same day you decided to sleep in the same bed with the serpent.CCIII has more integrity than you.

  3. he is not slowly backtracking but fastly doing so, its good u guys are working up now and the worst is yet to come

  4. TIZ , you blundered by being partisen. Keep you shit in your mouth and give us a break. You openly supported Sata now you are reaping. More Pop corns please.

  5. “…that he needs to keep his word of appointing cadres to public office” this is a contradicting statement to the headlines

  6. SATA has never kept a promise in his life time, so u TIZ u were busy campaigning for him u thot he is a cent. mukali kudabwa

  7. too dab for you TIZ you were to vocal and thought that sata could be trusted ,just brace yourselves for the worst to come soon. wake up and live in reality

  8. Can someone define a cadre for me please? I think there are people who qualify as cadres and would have been appointed had their party won.

  9. Cadre: “a small group of people who are specially chosen and trained for a particular purpose”; shall we say “trained for political purpose”? If yes; we could argue that cadres are: (i) Zambians; (ii) could be educated enough to work; hence the appointments. Then the key question could be; what level of education or expertise does one need to qualify as a political cadre; well, grade 7 is enough for me. Because we saw how PhD holders were manipulated for political expedience; so no qualification is better then the other as far as political “cadreism” is concerned. Ok bane, back to work. who ever is angry at my comments, can insult as they wish. am happy to read an laugh it off.

  10. Using the power vested in by the “constooshoni” I hereby, with immediate effect, appoint Mr. Gladwell Lumbu DC for a district yet to be created. He has been talking too much, I hope this appointment help to cool him down.

Our concern should be whether those being appointed have requisite qualifications for the posititons they have appointed to. Remember, the party has no card carrying members, we are all members by virtual of being citizens of this great nation. Lol.

  11. You have not yet heard from us, we sre going to appoint MMD William Banda as PF mobilisation manager, mamamia. So imwe ba TIZ you wanted the Serpent Cobra Sata to appoint you then his appointment would be genuine? You reaping what you sowed be campaigning for the Serpent to win.

  12. you reap what you saw SATA has been like this even before he became president he doesnt mean what he say

  13. Bravo, TIZ have finally found their voice and woken up from four months of slumber!!!! What took them so long when the irregularities have been playing out since day one of the PF government?

  14. U shuold be the last one to complain. History tells us of the past from which we could project what is to come, but u chose tto ignore this fact, anyway u needed to, because your donors would not have funded you at all. not yet ba Lungu, you are yet to see

  15. TIZ, I was almost thinking you have become like the post newspaper but now I can continue following you now that you have made it clear that appointments are not being done properly. I have one example Zambia’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Dr Mwaba Kasese Botha is Sata’s niece or cousin. There are a lot of relatives who have been sent in the foreign service from both Sata’s side and Dr. Kaseba’s side. The person who did Mwanawasa’s family tree should be given information so that we have the latest family tree, it is so sad. Either you are a relation or a cadre. I doubt if advisors can even discourage the big man. TIZ you are our only hope.

  16. What are people surprised about. The PF constitution said that it will appoint cadres in all levels of government. I warned the people about this but no one paid attention. I doubt whether anyone bothered to read the PF constitution at all. Donchi Kubeba my foot!

  17. What do you expect from a fornteen, standard 2. He has already run out of ideas on how to run the country. When are we going to see the boom in the economy like what we saw under Levy and RB. The chap is just busy re-aligning districts and commisions of enquiries. Is that the 90days development he meant during the campaign? Dr Kaseba says sata is a visionary leader! My foot!

  18. ‘TIZ executive director Goodwell Lungu said it is sad to note that President Michael Sata is slowly backtracking on most of the pronouncements he made during campaigns’. Slowly backtracking? What is your concept of speed ba TIZ Lungu? The man has backtracked on almost everything that he promised, within 5 five months, and you call that slow!

  19. Yes it’s disappointing that 3 months after PF and H.E. MC Sata fired DCs that were appointed by RB for being cadres of MMD and not professionals here we are with PF eating its vomit.

  20. There was never a difference between MMD and PF was there? Sata only left MMD in 2001 when FTJ handpicked LPM for successor. Sata wanted to take over from FTJ. So Sata is a true MMD, but the rough side.

Let’s just be praying for God to give our beloved Sata wisdom.

  21. Thanks for your vote of confidence in PF — we know what we will do; come 2016, we’ll simply vote them out. I don’t want my country to go back to the stone age. Thanks to PF we’re heading there at full speed.
