PATRIOTIC Front (PF) Secretary General Wynter Kabimba has appealed to all companies to stop the culture of victimising PF members on the basis of their political afffiliation.

“I would like in this regard to urge all organs from the section, branch, ward, constituency, district and province to assert your authority wherever you are as the party in power.

“It is the MMD and UPND who are in the opposition and not PF,” he said.

He said the PF had managed to win donor confidence which had waned under the MMD regime.

Mr Kabimba, however, acknowledged the challenges the party was still facing especially in the reconstruction of various sectors of the economy, in particular youth unemployment.

He outlined some of the successes as the reduction of fuel and mealie-meal prices adding that fuel procurement was previously fraught with corruption at all levels.

“Health user fees were abolished, school fees were also abolished at secondary level, lending rates reduced to 9 per cent the lowest ever, the Government take-over of Zamtel and the revamping of the Constitution process are some of the achievements of the PF Government,” he said.

Others include the reduction of Cabinet ministers from 25 to 18, an improved attitude in the work culture.

  1. These are unintelligible comments coming from a senior Lawyer.I feel u bought ur Law Degree Sir.U re an embarrsment to the Law Profession in Zambia with all due respect.I rest my case.Am obliged.

    • But why do you always behave like you are still in opposition. Easier said than done. You have failed you guys and how will you identify PF as opposed to MMD….eg if William banda says he is PF so what!!!!

  2. How does anybody know that a person that they are dealing with a PF member, since the party has no membership cards? This is clearly a pointer that membership is based on tribe!

  3. Tribal pf at work. The empowerment grant is only available to Mulenga Chanda Bwalya kasonde chilufya kolwestans etal.

  4. yes i think its unfair to criticise the ruling party PF at such an early stage…& for UPND & MMD to boycott Africa Freedom Day all because HH felt victimised by PF cadres at Winas funeral! have you people forgotten what happened at Mazokas funeral? Have you forgotten what happened at Levy’s Funeral? why then did the PF not boycott such ceremonies or react?? or even the public threats like rape?? have you people forgotten how the MMD put a blind eye to all this? & today, you stand by & criticise PF

    • Did Ukwa attend ay of these functions when he was in opposition???? No! So WTF are you talking about. Dont be blind and support like this is football. Campaings are over. Kabimba is tryng to bring divisions in the country by the statement above.

    • Walasa muntu wandi, i dnt remember Pf while in opposition boycotin any such events. I do remembr them bein sidelined. Longliv Pf, dnt wory its jealousy at work.

  5. Here is a kaponya who is trying to bring more divisions in the country. It does not matter what party one belongs to. Campaigns are over. Please lets get to work as one instead of the rubbish you are talking about. one zambia one nation

  6. Then stop acting like an opposition party and get to the serious business of running the country. You’ve been a great circus show so far.

  7. Why is it that most politicians in Zambia have red lips? Are they drinking too much hot tea or they are kissing to much too many?

  8. Winter should not be blind. People are not happy about their attitude of thinking that positions in government such as District Commissioners (DCs), Deputy Permanent Secretaries (DPs) and Permanent Secretaries (PS) should be a preserve for PF cadres. They have made fools of civil servants by appointing them and disappointing them and replacing them with unqualified cadres to be their bosses. This is the first government in this democratic dispensation in which mere grade twelves are becoming bosses over graduates. What they should know is that they have alienated the majority of Zambians from the PF. Winter should be reminded that the path they have taken is detrimental to PF because it is not cadres that changed the government but the people of Zambia

  9. Its high time people started to adjust, 20 years is a long time to wait. Unless a miracle happens but in Zambia infact in Africa some studies reveal that it takes atleast 20 years for a ruling party to lose elections. So brace for PF 20 years stay in power as also observed by Dr. Scott that “…it is the children you are carrying on your backs that will come and vote out PF …” GOD BLESS ZAMBIA

  10. The clown can not tell the difference because he continues to behave worse than the opposition. This is Ukwa’s appointed barking dog. He will bark at anything including his own shadow. I wish he would just keep his mouth shut!

  11. From dollar sillier to winter kamimbya?? What a circus this country is!!! Now cadres should assert themselves wherever they are!! And which foreign investor will tolerate this nonsense?? OMG we must be going back to nationalization if thats the case.

  12. First lady Kaseba,
I beg your pardon, your nicely coined rhetoric and state house luncheons for young people mean nothing to millions of desperate boys and girls who have lost all hope of ever getting a school place, let alone a job. Forget about state house luncheons and speeches and press on the president to seriously attend to the plight of Zambia’s youths.

  13. What does he mean “assert your authority wherever you are as the party in power” ? What authority do mere carders have? Then you wonder why you have thugs attacking innocent people at funerals. His man just needs to sit down somewhere, he’s all over the place lately.

  14. What a bunch of dull pathetic losers!! An entire adult standing up infront of the nation and saying abolishing of hospital user charges and school fees, and grabbing of Zamtel are acheivements!! This is embarrassing. You can’t stand up to brag about such trivial actions as achievements. I’m shocked that dullness in PF is that widespread, as bad as HIV/AIDS. Even if we were to take his childish list as achievements, he doesn’t feel ashamed that his list fits in only one sentence in a single short paragraph. Please, I know PF people are naturally dull, but please try and think before you open your stinking mouths. You are making i.d.i.o.t.s of yourselves. Nevers Mumba is right, come 2016 PF will be out.

  15. Number 13… You are forgiven. Next time read the story and write your comment under the correct story..Winter is bringing the Unip days… Zambians are watching…..

  16. @Eye for an Eye,nice observation! All these politician you see with red lips are gone,it’s Just a matter of time,kalayenoko,lol.. RIP King GK. I shall miss you good English in Capital letters.

  17. But ba mmd benze bana cilamo MWE!!!! yes mmd press men should GO TO HELL WITH THEIR PARTY they did too much harm PF

  18. So why do you behave as tho’ you are the ones in opposition. Get to grips and start delivering to the country instead of sleeping and dreaming of empty headlines and conflicting yourselves.

  19. Frankly this is bull and is basically telling PF cadres they should now behave like William Banda. Shame on Kabimba! Shame on PF!

  20. Kabimba is a very dull lawyer, how did he pass his ZIALE exams? Why should people continue regarding you as being in the opposition after almost seven months in power? REASON: All campaign promises you made have not been fufilled. So people think you are not yet in power.SO START WORKING, THEN PEOPLE WILL SEE A RULING PARTY IN PF. Otherwise after 2016 you will just be regarded as FDD, UDA,ZRP who have never been in power

  21. Back to the days of UNIP – The party and its govt plus vigilantes. You needed to have a UNIP card to sell at a market or operate a store. Party cadres had more powers than ordinary people, they could even close down a market and tell everyone to go welcome KK. Even paint trees white, mend potholes and put free fuel into any vehicle ferrying people to welcome The Great Leader, all because the Party president was coming to town.

Communist North Korea still does that, it seems.

  22. We are yet to see more of Kabimba, the VICE PRESIDENT of PF. Zambians must thugs harassing companies executives.

  23. Zambians are tired of nonsense talk and little delivery, winter should learn to shut up and work quietly, I support PF but such nonsense clearly shows that some of these leaders are not ready to run our country. Let other people take over if you cannot.
Damn Mr. President please guides these cheap politicians. We had Dora and PETER DAKA Now Kabimba??? What’s wrong with our country? Shameful indeed.

  24. Kabimba don’t forget to buy a newspaper for HH so he can read your PF’s achievements. Wynter alitumpa, I can’t drink in same pub with him, otherwise there would be fireworks!!

  25. Juast last night at Arcades I witnessed young PF caders harrassing and trying to have their way at one of the drinking spots. They even went ahead to threaten people by pointing at the GRZ number plate on the white bus they were traveling in and demanding “simuyopa number plate?” That bus and number plate were bought and manufactured by OUR money as tax payers!!! Kabimba is a curse to the nation. I fear to think what more to expect!

  26. Like i have stated before, Kabimba is an incorrigible and dull person. In the first palce, there is no need for him to remind us that the PF is in govt. To most Zambians it does not matter which political party is in power and in opposition. That is irrelevant. That kind of thinking belongs to the period just before elections. As a party in power, PF needs to prove to the people what they as a party are capable of doing to uplift the living conditions among our under priveliged communities.

Take the case of some residents in L/stone who have lived for years without toilets and only use plastic bags to help themselves.Sanitation challenges in Kabwe where authorities there are having to fight cases of typhoid. We need solutions to these problems not politiking

  27. In fact, it could be said that Kabimba is inciting his cadres to look down on people who are not Pf members and do just anything they want to them and ZP will not interven. This reminds me of the recent harrasement of UPND President HH at the funeral of the late Nakatindi Wina in full view of senior Pf and ZP officials. However, Pf needs to be reminded that Zambia is much bigger than Pf and that not all Zambians are Pf followers, not even half the population.

  28. Advice to Executives of foreign companies operating in Zambia: Whenever you employ people make sure that you have someone from your head office to neutralise favouritism and tribalism. Otherwise your companies will just end up employing kaponyas and people from one ethnic group. Consequently your companies will end up underperforming. In Zambia Kaponyaism, favouritism and tribalism are at their highest level now. Take heed.

  29. If people are thinking that these guys will give up power in 2016, they must think again. Just see what Mugabe did in Zimbabwe. It is here in Zambia and Zambians were warned. These guys will steal elections in daylight and no one will talk. Democracy, what democracy? Election results in 2016 will take 1 whole month before announcing, that is when people will dance pelete. Call it a prophecy or whatever you want, but that is the reality that CC3 tried to warn Zambians about. The rantings of this chap are just the birth pangs, more is yet to come. These rantings are what one can call the testing-of-the-water stage.

  30. Yes i agree Winter shuld be caged or else the party, the general membership will lose confidence in their leadership.imagne!unip bak in pf.nowander people refuse to be acknowledged as pf members due to all these loose mouth pronouncements…..it sucks
