A 33 year – old man of Mutindya Village of chief Mwenechifungwe in Isoka district is nursing serious wounds at Thendele Rural Health Centre after being attacked
by a hungry hyena.

Sources close to the victim have identified the man as Kennedy Singongo who was attacked on Monday night. The source narrated to ZANIS that Singongo met his fate while rescuing his cattle in the kraal when he was ambushed and attacked by the hyena.

The sources further revealed that the hyena attacked Mr. Singongo by biting his right hand in which he had carried a weapon for defence. And health authorities have confirmed receiving the patient suspected to have been bitten by a hyena.

Hyenas are reportedly on a rampage attacking cattle and human beings in the area and the community have since called on the Zambia WildLife Authority (ZAWA) to rush to Mwenechifungwe’s area to assist in cropping the beasts.

And in another development, six teachers of Kapendamadji basic school have threatened to flee the school after experiencing a bizarre situation. Teachers who sort anonymity said that they are being bombarded with flying stones each time they want to enter a class room to teach.

They claimed that stones coming from invisible stone throwers come from every direction hitting the roofs forcing the teachers to abandon classes. Teachers suspect the act to be connected to witch craft.

The victims are now appealing to district education officials to transfer them or they will flee Kapendamaji basic school. The mysterious happening has been going on for over three weeks now.

  1. You see now why I said it was a big insult to compare this legendary hunter-cum-scavenger of note to Sata! Hyena has a plan, all the time, unlike Zondwe who comes into power without a plan.

  2. Wasn’t this dude supposed to be in London or is it Addis Ababa? Lol the plan all along was to go and attack Edith nawakwi’s relatives!

  3. Muchinganis please let teachers impart modern knowledge in your kids. The dark arts won’t develop muchinga.

  4. Zambians are still backward mwe. Invisible stone throwers indeed! Ubututu. That is why they cannot even organise themselves against hyenas.

  5. Another lawsuit is looming against LT. The story is about hyenas but you have put our presidential portrait on top. Why? Remove the picture and put a hyena not our CNP above.

  6. Mwalibona cwale zahae Munguli wa Likulunga CNP, instyead of being in Addis Ababa casting a vote for Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, he is busy causing serious bodily harm to Nawakwi and Bob Sichinga’s nephew Kennedy of Mutindya Village of chief Mwenechifungwe in Isoka district. Awa sure Zondwe ma plan a cwana a u atokolomohe wa swabisa na munungu tuwe!

UK has opened your eyes indeed. You can now manage to call other people abatutu. Hmmmm! Kwena. Ati ‘Zambians are backward’, Mwiponta Zambia chalo chobe Koswe iwe.

  8. Only fools and people with miopic thinking will call president sata a chimbwi.Bitterness will not take Zambia forward.Accept that your under 5 wa rejected by the people of Zambia because he does not a plan.Under 5 is the biggest lost chimbwi no direction!

  9. Hungry Hyena, aka HH is angry with those who did not vote for him. He has started biting them one by one lol.

  10. I don’t understand why some idio.ts ar bringing about Sata here. And for the teachers in the article surely, invisible stone throwers? ignorance in Zambia….

  11. From Mwanachifungwe CNP is hearding straight to George Kunda’s village to bite them too for not voting for his candidate. From there it is express to kwahae to try to bite Induna Butuke Imenda for convening the Mimosa Indaba. Wina was a target too but alas he is a dangerous fully grown male Lion to be avoited at all cost.

  12. Even if you call Sata chimbwi he is still your president , How can a chimbwi Rule Human beings? Ninshi naifwe tuli ba chimbwi tefyo

    • Because the country is full of chimbwis. That’s why he convinced them with his 90 day malarkey.

  13. Oi, why are you Guys comparing one of Africa’s top hunters to this man Sata. This animal have a plan that’s why it’s a successful hunter.

  14. The Hyena is an ugly, clumsy, treacherous, greedy, deceitful, cruel, stupid, cowardly & generally despicable creature. It was as you recall confirmed as the animal kingdom’s number-one public relations disaster by Walt Disney’s The Lion King, in which the baddies were a clan of hyenas led by one called Shenzi. Shenzi is a Kiswahili word meaning “worthless bastard”. The hyena has a disproportionately large head & that its front & rear legs are of different lengths, so it always looks as if it were running uphill. You see, Sata has also gotten himself into a typical hyena uphill battle posture by telling lies to get into power. So soon after the polls, he is so unpopular already.

  15. Typical of a hyena too whose unpopularity even extends to the animal kingdom, as none of the bigger predators seems to have a taste for its meat. Besides Kabimba and GBM, if one has tasted hyena meat, they don’t go around talking about it. Common wisdom has it that the hyena has a “filthy” germ-ridden mouth & its bite is therefore extremely infectious. This compares very well to cobra CNP’s sharp motor-mouth tongue and vernon.

  16. That is why I fear for Kennedy Singongo of chief Mwenechifungwe’s area. No wonder, among Zambias today, the negative qualities attributed to hyenas are now also attributed to Sata CNP, especially his penchant for tribalism, greed, deceitfulness & treachery.

  17. Very sad. Wishing you all the best for a fast recovery, man, hope you get back to full health as soon as possible!

  18. Yes # 22 Nostradamas I know who that is he looks like H….H….,since he is doing his tribal donchi Kutima step in livingstone am sure that’s were this photo was taken
