MMD Chisamba Member of Parliament Moses Muteteka has said that the motor vehicle theft charges slapped on him are mere misrepresentation of facts.

The Chisamba MP was yesterday arrested for fraudulently and without reasonable excuse or lawful authority converted a Mitsubishi Canter Registration number ABX 3529 valued at 75 million into a personal property pretending that he had purchased it when in fact not.

Mr. Muteteka said that he initially bought two vehicles, his personal vehicle worth K 92 million and another one for the constituency, worth K 75 million kwacha from the same source.

He explained that he consulted the constituency committee and decided to instead give the constituency his personal vehicle, which he said was in a very good condition because he wanted the best for his constituency.

In an exclusive interview with QFM, Mr. Muteteka said that there is nothing wrong with what he did adding that the only misunderstanding is the swap that was made.

Mr. Muteteka, who is also MMD youth national chairman, has accused the Patriotic Front Government of twisting facts.

Mr. Muteteka said that he is ready to clarify the matter before the courts of law.

  1. Case is in court, but quiet childish explanation. who did the evaluation on his behalf to give a go ahead to swap. If one vehicle was bought using CDF why not follow the right way stipulated under CDF guidelines if his decision is supported. Don,t blame PF just face the law. Kwamana

  2. BA MUTETEKA, YOUR EXPLANATION IS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE. YOU SWAPPED AN EXPENSIVE VEHICLE TO YOUR CONSTITUENCY FOR A CHEAP ONE? THAT DOESN’T SOUND MMD-LIKE. SINCE WHEN DID A ZAMBIA PREFER A LADA TO A LATEST BMW? AND WHERE IS THE EXPENSIVE CONSTITUENCY ONE YOU RELEASED? DON’T TELL US IT GOT STOLEN.

  3. Hahahahaha kikikiki…. this man is a joker. Why swap cars like that it does not make sense at all? The man is a lier. Who in this normal world can ever- ever give someone or an organisation his own expensive car in exchange for a useless one like what he purported to have done – iai iyo taikana bosses. Olo nicifundo takwaba! Its too strange than fiction. Muzamangidwa baba. Your story does not add up. I rest my case!

    • kikiki….its a joke of the year for sure. Sounds like its coming from a child. its a pity such is the caliber of leaders we have

  4. This is abuse of power on your part bwana MP. It wud be foolish to buy your explanation, not for anything. Gud luck in jail my friend coz the writing is on the wall, ungena mundende iwe, Sha!!! Greedy chap. A canter sure. This is why MMD is seen to be corrupt.

  5. let him tell this stroy to the courts with evidence, good luck….but my question is who evaluated the two cars and wht law was he using to this and sanctioned his actions?  every corrupt person just creams pf this and pf that… pf,arrest them all.

  6. Every case against a member of the opposition must be viewed with suspicion. While MMD is taking democratic politics in Zambia to another level, the PF remain immensed in colonial politics of witch hunting the opposition at the expense of national development. If this vihecle does indeed belong to the district council, then the council should have written to the minister asking for its return. But I can just see the excitement among the PF bootlickers to get the police involved so they can be seen to be fighting corruption. Sometimes when your heart and mind are in the wrong place, you tend to miss even the obvious things in front of you….

  7. haha…what a cheap explanation Mr Muteteka. Who can believe your childish reasning man. Just be a man and brace yourself for jail. We always say law is law baba. You guys the MMD did not think abou Zambians but only for your pockets. Shame indeed.

  8. Politics, the money and the lies. Am looking at the picture above and asking myself whether the three men shown in the picture are indeed in support of each other – remember how how they all scrambled for the MMD presidency when we understood them to be supporting a particular cause?

  9. Number 10 please keep your dumb thoughts to yourself, who in the world would by this crap Muteteka is saying, are you that stupid not read through the lines?

  10. Why are some Zambians so dark, like that charcoal black

It scares me, would hate for someone like that to father my children

Thank God i married a white man

    Thanks

  11. Kawalala anama wenye. MMD syndrome theft and corruption, he seems like he missed theft lessons by RB and katele kaka.

  12. Muteteka my traditional cousin is surely going to jail. When pipe swap vehicles, between council and individual, there must be minutes in the council files to support it. Then white books must be prepared to validate the change.

This, to say the least, is utter foolishness by this man, very foolish and he is in trouble with the law for sure.

  13. chikala, go and explain in court, why havent u said anything this time. honestly, which greedy chap in the past govt would give the constituency a better vehicle than the one he took? face the law and stop crying foul before matters go before the courts

  14. What i dont understand is that the man says these two vehicles he bought at 92 and 75 million respectively are all his and used his own money, in short they white books are in his name. Then he donated a 75mill one to the constituency, later he swapped with the 92mill so ndiye mulandu uyu. Hmm he has stolen because when u donate u no longer control the transaction hehehehehe,,,bamugwila shishita

  15. I was at Chizzy Metals sometime back and my deputy head AKA Silencer would say to such an ***** “GO OUT OF MY OFFICE AND THINK OF ANOTHER LIE”

  16. @15, Mushota:

Do you even know you can have children? Because God has a funny way of rewarding arrogant, shallow minded, self-hating and barren Jezebels like you!!!

  17. Politicians in Zambia should end this practice of mixing personal things with the public. There is government. Don’t mix issues.

  18. What a foolish man this MP is, doesn’t he realise that he is digging his own grave by telling this cheap kindergarten story? Why not just keep quiet and only talk with your lawyer.

  19. this man was telling his ‘corrupt’ mmd colleagues to step aside and leave the mmd presidency to him,. mr ‘clean’. lesson 1, talking too much doesnt pay. and those in glass houses……..
