TIZ urge PF to be transparent, asks Home Affairs Minister to name people asking for favours from him

Transparency International Zambia (TIZ) has observed the need for the PF government to come up with measures that will bring about transparency in the country’s procurement system.

TIZ president Reuben Lifuka says there is need for the PF government to prove that its procurement system is transparent compared to that of the MMD government which was perceived corrupt.

He has also challenged home affairs minister Edgar Lungu to name the people that have been flocking to his office to solicit for government contracts.

Mr. Lifuka has further observed the need for the PF government to up come with a definite action plan on the fight against corruption.

He has told QFM News that this would enable the government to evaluate and monitor the fight against corruption in the country.

  1. The statement by Home Affairs Minister Hon. Edgar Lungu that some corrupt elements were tring to entice into some shoddy deals is clear confirmation how deep rooted corruption has become. One wonders why Mr Lungu chose to rush to the press instaed of reporting to ACC or police itself to deal with the allged corrupt elements.There is more to it than meets the eye.

  4. Edgar is a big fool. He was lying like his muppet boss Sata on the 90 days developmental and barotse Agreement restoration, ending POWER shortage and solving un employment levels withing 90 days.

    Edgar was lying that corrupt pipo enticing him, a while ago Mwaliteta Obvious the Southern province minister said the same thing. Liars and fools.

  5. The Minister has an obligation to mention those who approache dhim for they already committed a felony by offering a bribe or planning to have percunriary advantage, contrary to the public procurement Act Cap something of the Laws of Zambia!!
