Mohammed Essa is the 2012 African Motor Rally Champion.

The 23 year old Essa finished six minute s ahead of the chasing pack to pick up his debut Africa Rally Championship with victory in the Tanzania Kobil rally of Tanzania rally.

Essa finished with a time 2:01:35 hours.

Dharam Pandya of Tanzania was second after clocking 2:0757 hours.
