Zed-Cranes Tickets Soar on Black Market

Share

As fans struggle to find tickets for the Zambia-Uganda game from designated selling points on the Copperbelt , the black market is awash for the coveted receipts to watch the African champions.

The Faz designated selling points ran out of tickets on Thursday afternoon just after 12:00 hours where fans had formed long and meandering queues in search of tickets.

However on the black market, the tickets that are supposed to cost K30,000 are now going for K50,000 while the those initially pegged at K50,000 are going at K80,000 and those costing K150,000 are pegged at K200,000 for the match is set for Ndola’s Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on Saturday.

  1. The capacity is about 42,000,000. It is good money for FAZ when you look at the fact that people are turning out in large numbers for the important games. FAZ can get rich mwe. Look at the English FA. As for the amounts, may be the law of demand and supply is working, eish. It is business for some people, men. They buy and resell.

  2. FAZ should now consider it criminal to sell tickets on the black market. The guys were buying in bulk so they resale on the black market. Please criminalize this act of re-selling tickets.

  3. YOU MEAN FAZ DIDN’T KNOW THIS WOULD HAPPEN? FAZ IT’S YOUR RENDITION TO PROTECT THE FANS FROM UNSCRUPULOUS ILLEGAL TICKET SELLERS AND YOU SHOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS- UNLESS YOU ARE ALL DULL.

  4. Truth hates

Its normal for tickets to go on to the black market when there is high demand…market forces at play, this happens even at the world cup…some people opt for cashing in if there is desperate individual willing to pay twice the face value.

  5. Hey, sorry. I should have written the capacity of 42,000 not those millions people. Forty two thousand only.

  6. Ninsh muzambia abatambafye bola ba mu ndola, lusaka na kitwe and the rest of towns dont hav money? iyi poor thinking yikabwekeshapo nafuti kuma games yambi coz u hav starved us here in chililabombwe.ninshi ifyachabechabe fitushupila muzambia?

  7. How do we have two selling point for tickets ndola zesco and kitwe zesco to meet the demand in other towns like solwezi, chingola, chililabombe, chambeshi, mufurila, kalulushi?one man allowed to buy 10batches of tickets at kitwe zesco branch and 10 minutes later you tell pipo on queue that tickets have run out.a disabled man had a batch of tickets and selling at 80 pin instead of 50pin and wen asked wer he got the tickets he said some zambia police officer gave him.IN FUTURE FAZ SHOULD DISTRIBUTE THE TICKECT FOR SALE TO ALL THE COPPERBELT DISTRICT INCLUDING SOLWEZI YOU UNDERSTAND KUSHA AND TEAM COS ONE DAY YOU WILL WATCH ALONE.FAZ IS TO BLAME FOR THIS MESS

  8. To be born in Zambia is not your fault but to remain and die in Zambia definetly is your problem! I hate zambia, I read this and I can’t help but question people who have decided to live in zambia
forever. You only realise you are blessed when you see such chaotic!

    • If for You It becomes a curse to live in Zambia because football tickets are on the black market then You need your head examined! I’ve found FA tickets on the black market numerous times and don’t hear of any Britons wanting to abandon Britain because of that. That’s the problem with mental enslavement

  9. @Voltron bauze. Poor arrangements zoona. Ukutumpa bane. Infact even in Solwezi people could have bought tickets.

  10. @2 Chindakwanda, the figure you gave is much more than the population of Zambia. You mean we can all fit the stadium. It must be a super mega tera structure. LOL. I have my ticket for somewhere in the west wing. Good luck chipolopolo.

  11. @Flagrante Delicto, yaba sorry boss. You can “rebase” that figure by removing the three zeros, lol.

  12. ITS JUSTIN MUMBA OF ZESCO UTD WHO IS SELLING ON THE BLACKMARKET AND HIS FRIEND SILAVWE OF ZESCO ALSO. BA FAZ YOU DONT HEAR FROM PIPO WE SAID TAKE TICKETS TO POST OFFICES BUT MWAKANA.

  13. fellow bloggers, i see nothing wrong in reselling tickets. if you want to make money in life capitalize on the product demand. keep it up to the guys reselling the tickets for using their brains. make more money and put more money in your pockets guys this is the time, ignore what ba Kambwili is saying.

  14. FAZ should increase the ticket prices for the next game………..further more faz should make a list for yearly members…these people pay a premium to recieve tickets for all zambian matched during the year………..thirdly faz should limiti the number of tickets someone can buy at a time to 4

  15. some senior Zesco staff are cashing in on this. shame on them. they buy tickets in bulk and engage street boys to resale at inflated prices. FAZ need to engage their so called agents being ZESCO to sort out this mess and corruption of the worst order. why should someone inflate already high ticket prices….? poverty mu ZESCO na mu FAZ.

  16. Pa Zed we dont like clean and clear business unless to mix it with kaponya style and kantemba style. Bwalingila bulwele ka virus (corruption) every where.
