Lottie Phiri Sets Zesco Utd Target

Striker Lottie Phiri says he has rejoined Zesco United with the aim of helping the Ndola side win the Super Division league title.

Phiri rejoined Zesco last week and on Saturday propelled his side to the semifinals of the Barclays Cup after scoring a lone goal in the
1-nil victory Konkola Blades.
In an interview with LT Sports, the striker believes the league is still open.

“My aim of joining Zesco is to help them win the league. You know Zesco is a big team. Zesco are just five or six points from the league
leaders (Zanaco),” he said.

Zesco are second on the table with 43 points in 23 games and are five points behind Zanaco.
“It is not over until it’s over. In football you never know, look at what happened last season in the English Premier League. So all we
need to do win all our games as Zesco United,” Phiri said.
“If we work together as a team and keep the team spirit high and trust one another we will lift the badge of the team,” he said.
He also hopped to score more goals at Zesco.

  1. This guy is fake, last time he run away from power when they needed him most only to go and play for a division 1 team in South Africa, he is stranded to come to Zesco because he has no were to play, The team he played for in South Africa was even demoted, he is just a failure and he shouldn’t even be putting our game of football in Zambia to Shame.
