United Party for National Development (UPND) Lusaka youth leader Brian Mizinga says he is happy with the conduct of Zambia police today at the Church service held today to celebrate the life of the late former first Lady Betty Kaunda.
Mr. Mizinga who spoke to ZANIS in an interview yesterday shortly after the funeral service said he was happy that no one was harassed by the police or party cadres from both the opposition and the ruling party.
He said despite a few provocative moves from the ruling party cadres the UPND was not in any way going to respond as they wanted to mourn Mama Betty with dignity and respect.
He said the late Mama Betty was a wonderful and caring woman that deserved respect even in her death.
Meanwhile, Forum for Democracy and Development (FDD) president Edith Nawakwi has described Late Mama Betty as a mother that loved all.
Ms. Nawakwi who also attended the church service held in respect of the late Former first lady and Freedom fighter Mama Betty said Zambians should learn to embrace one another and develop the spirit of unity.
She further expressed happiness with the manner political party cadres handled themselves adding that funerals should be more peaceful and dignified.
She said it was regrettable to note that a fracas happened last week when the church service came up and later cancelled where cadres fought one another in full view of police when the country was mourning.

It was peaceful becoz it is alleged that most of the youth and PF cadres have defected to join UPND leaving only a few office bearers in pf.
The peaceful proceedings were mainly due to the absence of Sata from the country. When the old man is around he likes pulling strings from the background to instigate violence.

Comparing Edith Nawakwi to UPND youth leader Mizinga, their ZANIS is still very lowest class.

Nawakwi whats the name of her party again someone remind me in short shes an expired politician just like most expired things their cheap. Nawakwi right now is offering cheap politics not fit for general consumption.
