Renard Calls Up Mukuka “Deco” Mulenga For Uganda Clash

Share

Power Dynamos and Under-20 midfielder Mukuka “Deco” Mulenga is heading to Johannesburg to join the Zambia camp.

The teenage playmaker was drafted into the senior team ahead of Zambia’s 2013 Africa Cup final leg qualifier against Uganda on October 13 in Kampala.

Mulenga is flying straight from Bamako to join the team where the Zambia Under-20 lost 3-0 to Mali in a 2013 African Youth Championship final leg qualifier on Friday to bow out 5-2 on aggregate.

He is the only new addition to the team in the 24-man side Renard named just days after beating Uganda 1-0 in their Africa Cup qualifier first leg match played in Ndola on September 8.

Meanwhile, three home-based players left Lusaka on Sunday afternoon for the Johannesburg training camp.

Power goalkeeper Joshua Titima, his club mate Thomas Nyirenda and Red Arrows keeper Daniel Munyau are in camp in South Africa.

Also in the travelling party was defender Emmanuel Mbola of Portuguese side FC Porto.

  1. RENARD SHUD DO EVERY THING POSSIBLE TO AVOID EMBARRASSMENT IN UGANDA..QUALIFYING TO S.AFRICA IS ALL WE NEED FULLSTOP.

  2. hopping Renard and his boys are aware of our expectations, nothing else but a win. we r african kings and we must do that which we do best borrowing from the words of John Cena.

  3. Rena serve us from the embarrassment,Uganda is not a team that should stand our way to defend our championship as African champions.if we managed to beat the the African favourites such as the famous Ivory Coast, die hard Libya, stubborn Ghana and many other, can the underdog in the name of Uganda stop us.All we need from Rena and the team is seriousness.

    musangu muzaza-malaysia.

  4. You will see Renard will use Titima in goal and Thomas Nyirenda against Uganda. Renard just stripped Sate Sate captain-ship in Under 20, that striker can’t be skipper, and so happy that Chris Katongo will no longer be a captain.

  5. No.4 u seem to know a lot. who told u Chris Katongo is NOT Captain. Chris has died for Mother Zambia. when other players NOT soring, Chris has risen to the occasion to score and mostly crutial goals.

  6. As good as this boy maybe are you now telling me he is ahead of players like clifford, singuluma, sitali in the pecking order? why not select players who can come on in the game and change it. Not players still learning. Some Renard selections are baffling? Anyway lets pull in the same direction and hope it all goes well

  7. For the first time let see Renard use Jonas and avoid Felix in the starting line-up against Uganda. This is a crucial encounter which deserves some seriousness on the part of the coach. He should not be stiff-necked this time ka.

  8. Marubish limping chipolopolo, fake African champions, always not confident about yourselves, us the cranes we shall make sure to erase your championship

    • Uli malinso pa chipupa zoona iwe,are you saying we did.t actually win the AFCON but that we are just dreaming, uli mpukutashi sana, wali pukuta zoona.Fake african champions, are you sure.Kalya mani iwe, kaponona n’ganga iwe, ubefe bwino claimant waba uganda,we are coming to thump you and you be busy cheering for zed in south africa, mark my words malinso

  9. Strange that HR is still making new call-ups leaving tested playerz on some flimzy groundz. Pray that Uganda lozez on 13/10/12, else the Frenchman should consider taking up a full-time job at Trade Kings or indeed MTN.

  10. And can somebody pliz educate our Sports Journalists to stop writing such rubbish namez az “Sate Sate”, “Deco” and the like.

  11. Ok honestly at times, Chris does not play well and many would say he doesnt deserve the captains arm band and even the starting 11 but take it this way. Chris has always been there for the team when people like Jacob have been giving funny excuses. He is playing the league in Holland now but just after the season, he will go for surgery. what about playing for Zambia? Chris, for me has been serving Zambia on many occassions.

  12. We losing this one.Why experiment with an 18 year old when Mbesuma is busy scoring goals?Even Kalusha at 18 could not influence things in the then KK X1 unless you tell me he is better than Kalu or Kalaba? He is experimenting with our emotions. They should keep that boy at home .Why take small guns to Kampala when the big guns are ready.Even Clifford is firing on all cylinders.Renard should be professional and do the right thing.GOD BLESS ZAMBIA.

  13. @ Caf-u, God forbid that we will loose this match. you are probably talking like this because you were not at Arther Davies stadium to see the boy. when people like Clifford mulenga do not understand the meaning of curfew, Mukuka “Deco” mulenga comes in. the boy is talented. all the very best Zambia.

  14. Lets see,iam not saying he is not good he needs time. We draw at arthur Davies and lost badly in Mali and where was Deco? Even Kalu used to sit on the bench.protect and encourage the boy,we will need him later but this one in Kampala we need the big guns. Uganda are training day and night and they are not experimenting against the African champions. So why experiment with the cranes? One good win and Uganda will be in South Africa.Take the big guns and shoot down the cranes.GOD BLESS ZAMBIA.

  15. 1.k.mweene,2.davies nkausu,3.mbola.4.himonde,5.sunzu.6.isaac chansa.7.jacob mulenga,8.kalaba,9.mayuka,10.c.katonga,11.sakuwaha, if we a serious for goals chapwa
