  1. Revolutionize research and development to move the industry forward. Livestock diseases cannot continue to be a menace for Zambia given all the expertise. Agricultural technology development will undoubtedly create the much needed employment for mother Zambia. We have the human capacity but lack the technology capacity to move research agenda. I hope that at some point the national budget will address this thorny issue with the seriousness it deserves.

  2. UKWA in Japan Lol Sata is for real a comedian copying Japanese greetings cracks me up. best our president very fun.

    • If a foreigner visited your village, and learnt how you great and treat each other with respect; and then they practically showed you how and what they have learnt, it means they are appreciative of your culture. This is what Sata has done; for me, it shows the man is down to earth. Those who welcomed him at the hotel, needed to be shown respect the Japanese way; so what is wrong with that? Too westernised i guess. Weldone ba Sata; respect and cultural norms require that you practice what you have learnt about people.

    • Another feeble minded post by a dullard of cadre, even Obama greeted them in a similar fashion when he visited; the Japs appreciate you for making an effort. You should better you are in the States.

  3. Mr Kaunda also used to go for weeks with a large entourage and a huge budget. I hope these foreign sojourns will bear fruit and accrued benefits therefrom will outweigh the excessive expenditure of these types of trips. Otherwise the president seems to be visiting institutions that he can learn from, I hope.

  4. If the human capacity was there, technology or financial capacity wouldn’t be an issue!  Government “are people” my friend.

  5. When you come home your excellence, see what can be done to improve our industrial and education base too. We shall never develop as long as our education system remains 100% theoretical. So simumakumbwila banzanu vimene bachita my presido? There is actually no need to have Foreign Investors (FI) in some of the sectors such as primary agric production. Indeed these we can do pretty well as long as there is policy and political backup. We should also zone our regions in terms of their potentiality in both primary and secondary production. Take for instance, Choma can be agriculture center, setup an agric UNZA there, Chipata a motorcycle and bicycle center set up a college related to this there. This is what is done in all the First World where regions are zoned based on there natural potent

  6. My word!! the Presido is looking 20 years younger, this guy was just born to be a President and i pray that the good Lord gives good health and many many many more years to lead this country. Long live His Excellence.

  7. ukwa in Japan? elo lwanya! he is busy vomiting his usual s.h.i.t there. Vasco Da Gama of Zambia. busy globe trotting like a headdress chicken.

  8. Now is Ukwa bowing down to Given or to who……??????? I mean in the first picture.

Just because someone said ( Japanese Culture) ke ke ke ke ke

  9. Just for some few days, our president is arround japan; you people down town, can you see how he looks ! when he returns home; his look will be different ! From time to time you should be advising him to visite us again !

  10. For the Japanese style or way of greeting portrayed by King Kobra; I award him 57 %. Next time whem he revisit us, I am sure he will improve. Nabeeshyako ba Sata, kula showinga umuchinshi no kufukamako panono ! keep it up.

  11. #8 Thermometer, thats fun man. Its like Special Paper 2, what is different in the picture.
Did you also observe that all Japanese dressed in same suit colors, while Zambians balisashila as usual?

  12. Ah, bwana Vasco in the orient looking for merchants ka? I hop its the last trip of the year. Going 12days solid…this country needs decisions made. But kwena, olo its running away from yo country nanga ni so?

  13. Ba LT whats up with your info? Isn’t Hokaiddo an island an island and not a town? Where are those Zambians in Japan to fill us in?

  14. I would cut off my right arm to be on this trip but on my own scandalous tech appreciation itinerary. Then my left seeing as the UK is technologically ten years behind. By the time I get home to Zed I will be legless… but that might have to do with spiritual healing on the flight home :) Do love Japanese technology… hope this trip results in some tech improvements. At least I still have my jealous eyes, haha. Coffee time.

  15. Keep it up, mukweenda emu kunanga … when you travel you discover the world and improve your own place. Behave like a sponge absorbing, internalizing for actualization at home. When I was growing up the Japanese were Zambia’s best friends. They were all over our libraries, research institutions and not only did they market their products wells, they encouraged innovation.

I want my Zambia back, would you help Mr. President?

  16. YOU SEE! IN ZAMBIA WE LOSE OUR CULTURE TO WESTERN LIFE-STYLE. YOU DON’T NEED TO PRACTICE IF YOU HAD ALWAYS KEPT TO OUR CULTURAL HERITAGE WHICH IS SIMILAR TO JAPAN- UMUCINSHI, UKUFUKAMA PAKUPOSHA ABALI NA AUTHORITY. IT WAS THERE IN ZAMBIA. NO LONGER THERE, NOW UNFORTUNATELY. I USED TO BE WITH A PRETTY JAPANESE GIRL IN COLLEGE AND WHENEVER SHE WAS TALKING TO ME SHE KNELT DOWN. I USED TO PROTEST AGAINST IT. BUT SHE ALSO SAID, “YOU ARE A MAN I HAVE TO KNELL DOWN OR BEND WHEN TALKING TO YOU OR ANY OTHER ELDER PERSON”.

  17. I THOUGHT SHE WAS COMING FROM A REMOTE VILLAGE IN JAPAN BUT SHE SAID SHE LIVES WITH HER WEALTHY PARENTS IN TOKYO AND IT WAS VERY TRUE. SHE’S NOW HAPPILY MARRIED TO A SPANISH GUY. GOD BLESS THEM. ANYONE WHO LOSES/ABANDONS CULTURE HAS LOST HIS IDENTITY. THE JAPANESE HAVE THEIR IDENT

  18. Lubinda and Chenda are going to invest in dairy farming after this trip. Serious countries include business people in their delegations. First ladies only show up on state visits, but then sanity has never been a strong attribute in Zambian presidents!

  19. How does JAPAN host a president at a university? Have we hosted a head of state at UNZA before this is demeaning a president in the name of MCS

  20. To date I have been highly sceptical  of our president’s actions but now I am beginning to see a direction emerg from what initially appeared to be chaotic action. I hope I am right

  21. the president has advisers and if they agree then it must be important that he travels,Lets wait for results of this japan trip, mind you mr president we are anxious for result in all areas after electing you man of action..ask for tools we will help provide until we get desired results as a nation.
