South Africa Name Team to Face Zambia

Share

South Africa coach Gordon Igesund on Monday announced a 24-member Bafana Bafana squad to face Zambia in the Nelson Mandela Challenge at Soccer City in Johannesburg on November 14.
According to Kickoff.Com, Igesund unveiled the squad at a media conference.

Igesund and his assistant Serame Letsoaka are leaving for England to meet with the overseas-based players’ coaches, and negotiate for them to join Bafana early ahead of the Africa Nations Cup in January.

“According to Fifa rules, the players can only report for national duty 14 days before the start of the Afcon tournament; in this case
that will be January 5,” Igesund said this weekend.
“Our main aim in England will be to try and get the players released early from their clubs so they can join us at least 21 days before the
start of the Africa Cup of Nations tournament.”

    • Since when did we get scared of Bafana Bafana? They are alsways useless, playing Poland and Brazil to prepare for the AFCON african competition!!!!

We shall bash them, Kalaba the master will teach them a lesson.

  1. Come boys and show them the game of football. I expect no less than 3-1 for Zambia. This team is not a match for Chipolopolo boys. Good training though.

  2. I hope Zambia loses, I cant stand them winning anything
my stomach churns everytime i hear all these chump blogs

And you call yourself a proud African; so in your simpleton mind its better they have an English name given to them by their formal colonists so as it is easy to pronounce.

  5. Since when did we get scared of Bafana Bafana? They are always useless, they qualify through the backdoor and mistakes in preps playing Poland and Brazil to prepare for the AFCON african competition!!!!

We shall bash them, Kalaba the master will teach them a lesson.

  6. The days of Bafana Bafana superiority over Chipolopolo are long gone and they must learn to live with that fact. Let me also remind them that when they won AFCON in 1994 it was purely psychological…… end of white rule domination and Madiba becoming President of S.A.
