Collins Mbesuma says Zambia is taking Saturday’s friendly against Norway very seriously.
And Zambia’s Group C opponents Ethiopia have won their final friendly match after beating Tanzania on Friday.
Mbesuma said at Kapwepwe airport in Ndola on Friday night that he was hoping to play against Norway at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
“For us it is a preparation match also and we will not take it like a friendly we going to take it like a final,” Mbesuma said.
“It’s not going to be easy.”
Norway on Tuesday beat South Africa 1-0 in their first friendly in Cape Town before heading to Ndola on Friday.
“Although South Africa were on top they (Norway) played well,” Mbesuma said.
Meanwhile, Ethiopia beat Tanzania 2-1 in Addis Ababa to finish unbeaten in their three match friendly series.
They beat Niger 1-0 in Addis on December 30 and drew with Tunisia 1-1 in Qatar on January 7.
Ethiopia will face Zambia in both sides opening Group C match on January 21 at Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit.

#4..you have posted that on all norway articles so far..surely you must have something else to say or add on..ha ha ha..don’t worry too much it won’t be the end of world if zambia are 1 yr champs..in fact will be more famous just like when we had a remach of the finals in 1974 against then zaire. see.. so its all good and if we win.. it will be 3yrs african champs..am sure that will put a smile on you..so look to the positives..we are kicking norway and going back to SA to bring the cup..i can’t wait for chipolopolo to cut off the wings of those super flightless eagles when we clash..
