  1. i’m sure he has no driver’s licence, if not a bought one.

all africa needs is a change of it’s people’s mindsets

  2. When will zambian ever lean that accidents are never intended by victims, how do u burn a car, too much ubukopo some people violence does not solve problems

  3. it is scary to drive in Zambia due to some senseless people who go around burning cars that gets involved in an accident and beating up the driver.most of the time its the pedistrians who runs on to the on coming vehicle and the poor innocent driver gets beaten up.I would think twice before stopping to help the injured person because of the barbaric treatment from the mob.its time the police takes stern actions on these barbaric barbarians.they should be taught that accidents are not planned but it just happens.Drunken drivers and unlicenced drivers should be jailed for long terms especially if someone gets killed and should not allowed to drive for atlest 10 years or more.

  4. It is the driver that loses control of the vehicle not the vehicle losing control.
Why is it that nearly all reported accidents in Zambia are as a result of loss of control of something. The police must be in control of the situation and address this problem.

  5. Too bad a young innocent life has been snuffed away like that. When I hear a name Toyota corolla, I know its attributed to pirate taxis over speeding to make a quick buck before handing over the vehicle to the “boss”. Small wonder on lookers take the law in their own hands. Too many corolla accidents. MHSRIP.

  6. There is a rampant habit of raising only enough money to afford to bring in a car and maintenance is left to a prayer. Most cars in Zambia are not road worthy and the further away you go from the urban centers the worse it gets. Remember even a small part on a car can create a big negative effect on the performance of the vehicle…

    • You are so right, worse off, the people who sit behind the wheel have little knowledge of both the machine and it’s operation, i did my driving course here, am telling you the law is as ugly stringent as hell, you dont just buy a car to show off it’s not a luxury but a neccessity, therefore, rules and laws are watched and followed like nobody’s bussiness, i blame the government on this period! Introduce penaties that are given to a robber, am telling you, non of these accidents would be happening, i really fail to understand how we third world nations do things, very simple math, this is the governments mess nobodys, they allow it so they should clean it up, Introduce theory and practical courses and employ real lectures and real driving schools. Create jobs and revenue, need i say…

  7. I am not convinced that the police were scared of the mob, thats not an excuse but they should be charged for failure to protect property and the citizen (driver). What time do they need to respond? police are supposed to be on alert all time. We cant allow people to be taking the law in their hands while police sit and watch. While we sympathize for the lose of life there was no reason to set the car on fire. All the police who were to attend to that scene must be suspended.

  9. the tax driver was very drunk and in avoiding the check point which was mounted by the police he swerved the vehicle and in turn lost control and hit all those six people, upon realizing that the car had no brakes he decided to hit the people so that the car could come to a stop. The police were equally afraid of the angry mob as those people are thugs who loots the trucks coming from the border.
