MMD president Nevers Mumba has urged the Church to seek Gods ways and guidance if they are to prosper. Dr Mumba said God was the healer of everything be it political, financial and social challenges.
He said during a service at Victory Bible Church in Kitwe yesterday that the Church should not depart from seeking God at all times.
Dr Mumba urged the congregants not to be led by human intellectual but to seek Gods protection and guidance from the alter.
“Do not depart from seeking God, this is where answers are and not in backbiting and spreading rumours, some of us are still alive because of the alter and God protects those that know where to get protection from,” he said.
He said for the past week, the Church had been subjected to a lot of rumours and that was why he cancelled his trip to South Africa to spend Easter with the congregation in Kitwe.
Dr Mumba reminded the congregants to be prayerful at all times and that his involvement in politics was God’s vision.
He said he was in politics because he was anointed, God was guiding him and anyone that wanted to fight spiritual battles would not succeed.
Dr Mumba also added that the congregants must acknowledge the spiritual authority and honor and respect the leadership.
But you have just done that yourself bashimapepo.Go back to the pulpit where it fits you best.

Next, if it is was God’s vision for this pastor to enter politics, he could have been a winner throughout without hurdles and impediments in his ambitions to be a presido in Zambia. It is not too late, just repent, become humble, honest, unselfish, and stop being jealousy of other successful politicians, your turn will certainly come if you follow my rescription accordingly. I have started to intercede for your success in 2016, but please do not ignore my prescription.

There was a time I used to look up to Nevers Mumba in the same way I look up to Desmond Tutu of South Africa. Tutu served God and God gave him power above politics, and that why he could preside over complex matters like Truth Reconciliation in RSA. But alas, Nevers got power-hungry and lost the plot. This man is now such a joke you have to question the hidden motive in whatever he says, it is simply amazing.
Dr. Nevers Mumba, you should be the last person to give that advice, because what you are condemning is exactly what you are good at. Why do most christians hate each other. Doc is a known christian and he does not hide. He is a man of one wife, prayerful and congregating with others. To me Dr. Mumba is in the right track. He is slowly heeding to the call of the many peace and God loving Zambians: Go back to your first love Dr. Mumba: Preaching and Teaching the Word of God. He should just repent himself, quit politics and go back to were he belongs: The Pulpit. Hear me once again, Dr. Mumba will not find peace until he goes back to the vision and mission that God gave him in time past: The Pulpit. He is wasting Gods’ resources by being in politics and God is never pleased with such people and whatever he does will not prosper. Agape.
It takes a man with courage to accept presidential office, all of you who are criticizing are Zambians whose tail controls you rather than being the head and not the opposite. All of you who claim that Dr Mumba should not be involved in politics then I question the Bible you read because David was A Godly man after God’s heart and yet front line politician that involked change as a king and in today’s terminology President. To run for the office, lead people has never and will never be easy because they criticize even things they should not be running their mouth.
