United Party for National Development (UPND) leader Hakainde Hichilema says Zambians need a generational change of leadership and not being taken backwards.
Mr Hichilema said the Patriotic Front went into government without a plan for the country, but for purposes of sharing jobs amongst themselves.
Speaking to Q fm, Mr Hichilema said the Patriotic Front lied to the people on a number of things which they have failed to fulfill.

Mr. Hichilema pointed out that miners and mine contractors have lost jobs, while mealie meal prices have gone up among other things which is a clear indication that the PF has failed to run the country.
He said he had warned the people of Zambia against voting for the PF in the 2011 elections and now he is being vindicated.
Mr. Hichilema added that President Michael Sata has changed from being a man of action to man of negative action.

It’s all about having a New Democratic constitution in place where the president doesn’t have too much powers of appointing Kaponyas everywhere and forcing frequent by elections. We need strong independent institutions that are transparent and accountable to parliament and the public where objective debates are allowed. We also need a police and judiciary that operates without fear or bias with office bearers that are independently hired based on experience and qualifications. That’s the only way to move forward.

He (HH) is loosing again in 2016, Distant second. PF (PRESIDENTIAL) will sweep lusaka, Copperbelt, Luapula, Muchinga, Northern, Eastern and share NW 60% to 40% for opposition, Western 45% and 55% for opposition, Southern 30% and 70 % for oppsition. In the provinces where PF is sweeping, opposition will have insignificant performance.

Apart from being led by fossil politicians, Zambian leaders have no qualifications and experience or a track record of achievements. Blaming the president for making appointments? Think again, even HH if he won the elections he would do the same because the constitution allows the president to do so. Sata is simply doing what the law says when making those appointments. Who would really in their right state of mind appoint strangers in their govt? It is very easy for HH as an opposition to make condemnations but if he won the elections under the same laws he would do the same. Change the constitution and remove those appointing powers from the president then you will not have the current situation. The problem is the colonial constitution we are still using in Zed!
