Singuluma and Sinkala inspire Mazembe to Confed Cup win

Given Singuluma and Nathan Sinkala today inspired TP Mazembe to victory in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Mazembe beat Liga Muculmana of Mozambique 4-1 in Lubumbashi in a last 16, first leg match.

Singuluma scored Mazembe’s second goal in the 34th minute after Richard Kissi-Boateng of Ghana put the DR Congo ahead in the 16th minute.

Tanzania international striker Mbwana Samatta added Mazembe’s third in the 53rd minute before Sinkala completed the homesides win after converting an 80th minute penalty.

Mazembe needs only a draw in Maputo in a fortnight’s time to qualify to Group B of the Confederation Cup in July.

  1. I have always believed Sinkala is the best midfielder of his kind in Zambia. He enjoys marking than playing around with the ball. He takes quality penalties, and always plays with aggression.

    • Congo is better than S Africa. They don’t burn foreigners in Congo

  2. Brian, I totally agree with you. Ba Bwaima, we can not have all the best players in Europe.

  3. Ba EX ZIT why leave Congo when u gettin paid same amount as in Europe n go to RSA to get peanuts?

  4. Ba LT!They need only a draw? They won 4-1 and need only a draw in Maputo. What kind of journalism is that?TP can lose 2-0 and still qualify not that they need a draw.

  5. CAF-U group stage is all about points and not a knock out game where goals come into play. its points so fa accumulated. And TP mazembe is the best on the continent so going to SA to play for the likes of pirates and sundowns will be step down in quality as those teams usually dont even make the second round of the CAF Champions League. Better to even go to egypt or tunisia. the second best league in the continent is Ghana and their players are going to congo for the money.
