Share

Jacob Mulenga has joined the Zambia camp in Ndola ahead of Saturday’s 2014 World Cup Group D qualifier against Lesotho at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.

The striker from FC Utrecht in Holland arrived just after 19:00 hours and headed straight into camp.

Mulenga becomes the third foreign-based player to join camp in the last 48 hours.

Midfielder Rainford Kalaba of TP Mazembe and striker Fwayo Tembo from Astra Giurgiu in Romania arrived in camp on Saturday afternoon.

James Chamanga and Christopher Katongo are expected to fly into Ndola on Monday from their respective bases in China.

  1. lamisha musonda played for belgium under 21 in toulon tournament…kalu and hr their is still time for the lad to change allegiance to mother zambia,,The boy looks out of place in beligium team,,here he will be revered as a star…

    • @ Musso; why Lamisha Lamisha Lamisha… why don’t you talk about your own children?
“Mother Zambia” That is idiocy, who is father of your nation, SATA??? Atase!! Zambia being your mother sounds simply pathetic.

    • Why is it that you always want to blame Kalusha over the Lamisha saga and not the father Charles Musonda? If Charles was interested in his son playing for Zambia, he could have prevailed on him to ensure that he does so but this guy cannot do that because he was the most unpatriotic professional Zambian player of his generation. Chances are that he has already told his son that he is better off playing for Belgium and not Zambia.

  2. @Musso I don’t agree with you. Those kids have now taken up Belgian citizenship .It is time we let go as Zambia. I was also watching a world cup under 17 qualifier between Belgium and some other team, Charly Musonda jr. captained the match. During the postmatch interview the young lad spoke fluent French. The Belgians have done a lot for the Musondas and that is where their allegiance is.

    • the lads can still play for Zambia according to FIFA rules. We need Zambians to develop the nation (Zambia) in all aspects of life regardless of who has gloomed them or what language they are fluent in.

    • I hear you Nebo but we still still have the pathetic pre-historic marabishi constitution that does not allow for dual citizenship and we have *****s who support the marabishi of our nation not moving forward. Lamisha is a gem who would have been leading the pack of upcoming stars now we have lost him and his brothers all because of useless backward thinking politicians.

  3. Glad to have him in camp.
Just praying that this time around he is the one putting the ball behind the net.

We are tired of small margin wins and making us start mathematical analysis for qualification.

Mind you, we need more goals these two games. otherwise we might loss out on aggregade if results don’t go our way.
    Good luck Zambia.

  4. The two best strikers are reporting now; Jaob Mulenga (captain), Chamanga (vice-captain).
Chris Katongo pa bench, otherwise we loose again.

  5. According to FIFA rules the lads can still play for Zambia. We need Zambians to develop our nation in all aspects of life regardless of who gloomed them or what language they speak.

    • Nebo
Not that simple…they boys need to carry a Zambian passport…those are the rules! Zambia as you know will not allow it…you are either Zedian or not.

  6. @ Ba Joe,
There is no issue of Goal aggregate in this contest. If Zambia and Ghana Happen to have same number of pints, head to head count will be considered, according to FIFA rules. This means the team that had beaten the other goes through. So if Ghana will not beat Chipolopolo in Kumasi, they are out because we beat them in Ndola.. That is if we beat Lesotho and Sudan in Ndola.

  7. Jojo……”….if Ghana will not beat chipolopolo in Kumasi….”???? Wake up from that bad dream. They will thump us like no man’s business. The decider here is the Sudan vs Ghana game in Sudan. If Sudan can beat Ghana, then we are one foot in there. If Ghana beats Sudan, then chipolopolo should forget. We can beat Lesotho and Sudan in Ndola but we need Sudan to beat Ghana because we simply do not stand a chance against Ghana in Kumasi.

  8. Lets just lose and fire Leaner, the ka coach is still dropping and recalling players at this 6th hour. What a coach….??? Ba Katongo baliipwaa

  9. When did Jacob Mulenga last scored for Chipolopolo?otherwise we will be playing names instead of football?

  10. in the name of jesus christ the son of the living Almighty Lord GOD the Chipolopolo Boyz will carry the day Amen.
