He takes over from Honour Janza who has reverted to his role as FAZ
Technical Director.

“The Football Association of Zambia is pleased to announce the
appointment of Masauso Mwale as assistant coach of the Zambia National
Soccer Team – The Chipolopolo.

“The appointment of Mwale was made by the FAZ Committee Emergency
Meeting which was held at the Football House on Thursday 27th June
2013 and chaired by FAZ President Kalusha Bwalya,” read the statement.

Janza will supervise all junior national teams.

  1. Praise the good Lord, please work in oneness with the entire national team technical bench and be part of the 2014 chipolopolo side that will reperesent our country in brazil.More Favor for Zambia national team and nkana kalampa.

  2. They could have taken Zeddy Saileti, in fact he is the man behind Nkana’s success. Its better to have coaches who have been abroad, developed a swag, not these locals from Konkola copper-mines etc.

  3. Is this appointment on full time basis and has the coach signed a contract. If the answer to my 2 questions is no, then the whole issue is rubbish

  4. Drop Rena instead with immediate effect and relce him by a local coach. Kalusha has a complex and thinks whatever is white is good look at Ghana, Sudan, Ethopia all other teams using their own coaches whats wrong with Zambia. It is the same situation in the Industry including Mines where some sectors feel only foreigners can have this or that. Chinese are here now all Contracts are being given to them thinking they are going to Develop Zambia on your behalf Never. Wakeup and stop this rot.
    Enjoy your Weekend

  5. What could have motivated his appointment and like others have questioned here above what are the conditions? Does he have the requisite competence at that levelof the game.If he does have the experince escorted also by qualifications then congratulations to Mwale for his appointment. After all it will be to our advantage to have Zambians at least contributing to the coaching of our national team.
If, however, Mwale’s appointment is based purely on Nkana sitting at the apex of the league then there a problem as it still early days in the league to gauge competence. Congratulatations to Mwale though ,once again, hoping that though tethered to Renard you will contribute in which ever way to strenthening the national team.
