Sichikolo-Defeat is devastating

Share

Kabwe Warriors assistant coach Happy Sichikolo has lamented his team’s 3-0 loss to Konkola Blades in Saturday’s FAZ Super Division match in Chililabombwe.

This was Warriors’ heaviest defeat in the 2013 Super Division campaign.
Sichikolo expressed shock over the Week 15 loss.

He said the Kabwe outfit never expected the 3-0 defeat suffered at Blades.

“We are not happy you have seen the result. We came here to win,” Sichikolo said.

Warriors are tenth on the table with 20 points.

  1. Iam a supporter of Warriors to the marrow, and share Sichikolo’s agony over the inexcusable 3 – 0 bashing at the hands of Konkola Blades. But wait a minute – other than look stupefied, Sichikolo and company must realize that the problem is traced right to their bench. Even in the last game Warriors played against Nkwazi the team played several rungs below expectations.
Granted the departure Chintu in defense and Kasonde in midfield have destabilized the team but that’s not where the major problem lies. The major problems are one – the inconsistent utilization of Abuild who is only creative midfielder and secondly the frontline which is too blunt for top flight football.
That, notwithstanding, I wish the team the best as they take on ZESCO.

  2. kajimaano.

Salaries issue was sorted out long time ago.Point of correction Richard Kasonde is still with KWFC and played “90 minutes plus” in the last game, update yourselve……… it was a shock and still a shock how we lost by that big margin……. but this football……. ask Man United 6:1

  3. Nganga,
Thank you for the correction about Kasonde. I got the data from an insider at Warriors but needed to cross check the same.
The loss, painful though it was, is now water under the bridge.Ngwenya and company just need to mend the weak areas, convinced that going forward the team can pick up again.
