Mighty beat Blackpool in Muf derby

Share

Mighty Mufulira Wanderers on Sunday thrashed their archrivals Mufulira Blackpool 2-0 in the Mufulira derby to end a two-month winless streak.

Goals from Preston Musumali and Brian Kabuswe helped Mighty to silence Blackpool in this FAZ Division One North Week 17 tie at Kachofa Stadium in Kamuchanga.

Wanderers last won on 2 June beating Prison Leopards 1-0.

This is a shocking result to Blackpool who came into this match lying fourth on the table while Mighty were third from the bottom of the 18-team league table.

On the other hand, this win is a boost to Mighty’s demotion battle.

The Shinde outfit, who have moved out of the demotion zone, now sits on 17 points after a round of 17 matches.

  1. The late Mighty. My families favorite team. I would have been mislead to join my family but I quickly realized that my blood was RED.
