FAZ Super Divison leaders Zesco United have slapped an indefinite suspension on defender Perry Mubanga for absenteeism.
According to the official club website, team Mabvuto Banda has written to Mubanga demanding that he exculpates himself.
The ex-Zambia defenders is said to have been absent from training on 17, 25 and 26 August without an explanation.
“Last season we had similar circumstances where you could decide not to report for work without any explanation or certified sick note contrary to all sections under clause B of the club code of conduct,” the letter read in part.
The club says this was not the first time Mubanga was absconding from work without permission.
