We are on course to recruit 750,000 new members by December-Chipimo

The opposition National Restoration Party says it is confident of recruiting 750,000 new members by the end of this year.

Party President Elias Chipimo said the recruitment drive for new members which commenced in February this year is progressing well.

Mr. Chipimo could however not disclose how many new members have been recruited so far but said that the party would issue a comprehensive report by the end of October this year.

“It’s not an easy thing but we are determined to reach our target. We believe if we can have a million card carrying members by December this year, that would give us some impetus to go ahead and grow the party even further in readiness for the 2016 general elections,” Mr. Chipimo.

He said the party’s strategy involves selling itself to the youth population in the country and using it as a launch pad into State House.
“The greater population of this country is youth and that’s what gives us the confidence that NAREP will grow into a huge movement in Zambia and go ahead and win the elections in 2016.”

    • Awe Ba Chipimo you are an intelligent fella , haven’t u seen the writing on the wall, NAREP is not in consideration as far as the Zambian people are concerned.

Start negotiations with HH , you may just boost his numbers in Northern and Muchinga, cause MMD nabo not any time soon pa ZED. If you keep pushing this wagon, people might start thinking you have dementia like Mr Sata.

    • But hh, is self centred, how can he work with an intellegent youngman like Chips.
You should analyze issues before you come out like that.

  1. More like trying to recruit 750 members going by the number of votes NAREP got the past by-elections.

  2. Sounds so much like PF talking about employment creation. Highly probable and nice to hear but clearly unattainable. I wish I could laugh!

    • In fact when I first saw the headline I thought it was one of the pf clowns otherwise known as cabinet ministers who was claiming to have created that number of jobs in Barotseland.

  3. Is this a rebased figure or what? Anyway let him do something, atleast it is better than trying to get to state house by forming a rebel group. we know whom he is actually working for but it is all fine and healthy.

  4. Talking is the easiest thing one can do. How can you think of recruiting that number when you do not even have a ward Councillor countrywide. That is day dreaming, mind you other parties are also targeting the same age group and getting to state house. Ask HH and Dr Mumbwe how anxious they are getting to plot one.

  5. Zambian is usual Criticizing everything that catches their eyes. NAREP has its own strategies that should not demonized at this moment. Rome was not built in day that is the leadership ‘s dream. Encourage them and probably offer possible solutions instead of shooting down everything that comes up. Go NAREP GO

  6. No charisma, this Chipimo, rather drab, is my view. Going back to legal practice is quite viable, me thinks.

  7. yes Sir and I will be one of them. we want young and intelligent people to lead Zambia. Go Chipimo go!!!!!!!!!!

  8. Yaba!!Elyo lwanya nomba!!Ba Chipimo muleipima first before dreaming too loudly because what you are saying sounds like someone who is in a deep slumber and snoring very loudly!!Which youths do you think will vote for you in 2016 with all the theories you keep propounding everyday?Get serious man 2016 is not for you.Wachepa sana!!By the way who is the Spokesperson for your party because we only hear of you talking and nobody else?It sounds like you are runing akantemba party!!
