Patriotic Front Mandevu MP Jean Kapata has written to the party Deputy Secretary General Bridget Atanga to further charge Secretary General Wynter Kabimba for bringing Cabinet and the party into disrepute.
In a letter copied to President Michael Sata and made available to ZNBC news in Lusaka, Ms Kapata has complained that Mr Kabimba’s comments in the media in which he alleged that some cabinet Minister are corrupt are serious.
She says Cabinet is sponsored by the PF. Ms Kapata said that Mr Kabimba’s allegation is not only serious but an offence under the law NOT to report corrupt activities. Ms Kapata has further demanded that Mr Kabimba who is also Justice Minister should exculpate his allegations before the disciplinary committee of the central committee of the PF.
“This is a serious allegation and is an offence under our laws not to report corruption. Mr Kabimba should exculpate his allegations before the disciplinary committee of the Central Committee of the Party,” Ms Kapata said.

The letter dated October 7, 2013 is addressed to PF deputy secretary general, Bridget Atanga and copied to President Michael Sata and party national chairperson, Inonge Wina.
She said Mr Kabimba had been quoted in the Post Newspaper to have alleged that some Ministers were corrupt.
“Further to my letter requesting you to ask the central committee to charge Mr Kabimba, the PF Secretary General, I humbly request that he be charged further for bringing the Cabinet and the Party into disrepute.
“Mr Kabimba was reported in the Post Newspaper to have alleged that some Ministers are corrupt. The said Cabinet is sponsored by our party, PF,” she said.
Last month, Ms Kapata wrote another letter demanding that Mr Kabimba be disciplined over his remarks that a clique of tribal elements was pushing him out of the party.
What’s wrong with you Jean? “The public squabbles we have witnessed in the recent past must end and end immediately. I have publicly stated that I am not desperate for endorsement and while I thank the rank and file for the expression of confidence and affection, I must ask all our most ardent supporters to desist from the temptation of endorsement campaign which well-intentioned as they have the effect of causing me embarrassment. At the opportune time I will indicate whether I accept the nomination or not,” President Sata said.

What a load of rubbish!! Being among the first to form a political party does not make one own it. They simply become pioneers, the party itself belongs to the Zambian people. Kabimba and Sata may have a lot of influence based on their position, but no-one should feel inhibited to exercise democratic rights given what is at stake, as you like calling it the ”Zambian Enterprise”. We wouldn’t be bothered if either Kabimba, Sata or any other fowl-mouthed leader operated in private offices, generated own income and belittle themselves or their employees. This isn’t the case, they draw on tax-payers and should be accountable now or in future.

Yes, Kabimba and Guy Scott have been there from the beginning … ask MCS himself. And yes, Kabimba can make a better president than GBM in my opinion. He has more enemies than anyone I know of in his party mainly because he is perceived as a threat to wannabies.
What you are seeing here are politics of fear. Those who can’t win and or at least stand tall to tall with you usually look for ways to denigrate you using masses because they have no capacity to replace you based on principle. GBM started this fight using his position at Defense and the Intelligence at his disposal.
He knows fully well that if he stood on merit with Kabimba, after MCS is gone he would be defeated. The fight is not for today, it is being wedged for the future and the smart people of the Enterprise see it.
