PATRIOTIC Front (PF) disciplinary committee chairman Edgar Lungu says the expulsion of assistant secretary general Sikwindi Situla from the ruling party is final.
Mr Lungu said the disciplinary committee is unable to handle the matter because it has not come before him.
This is according to the Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation news monitored in Lusaka yesterday.
Mr Lungu, who is also Minister of Home Affairs, could not comment further on the matter but said there are rules and regulations that all members of any political party must follow.
On Tuesday, PF deputy secretary general Bridget Atanga announced the expulsion of Mr Situla from the ruling party for indiscipline and insubordination.
Mr Situla was on Monday suspended by Ms Atanga for allegedly being behind the formation of the ‘Fourth Republic Party’ and was given 24 hours in which to exculpate himself.
But Mr Situla refused to exculpate himself before Ms Atanga saying he could only do that to the appointing authority, President Sata.
This prompted Ms Atanga to expel Mr Situla from the PF for indiscipline and gross insubordination.
And the confusion continues!
Situla’s answer echo’s that of Kabimba. They both think, only HEMCS can expel him from the PF.
Well I expect nothing but an outright expulsion of Wynter Kabimba from the PF in todays MCC meeting. No other verdict will be accommodated.
Situla asked for it. He should have followed the guidelines because it was HIS BOSS who suspended him. Situla was not being pursued by cadres. If your boss is a woman, be very careful not to play gender politics with her. She will fire you.
For Kabimba, yes, he was right that only Sata can fire him and today they are meeting to consider his case. Whatever they lose or win from expelling Kabimba, that is PF’s business. But if they fire him, that is the end for PF. No doubt about that. Kabimba has his own base in PF and as we draw towards 2016 you will see what will happen. But Bembas are like that…they are very quick at asking support from other tribes, but they will never support a different tribe.

Zambia is bigger than Mr. Kabimba. He has not been a big factor in the destiny of our Country. So, whether he stays or is expelled from the PF is not so significant for the bigger picture in Zambia. But that said, he may be a big loss only to the PF if expelled. My thought only!

Edgar contradicting himself so the case was supposed to be brought to disciplinary committee in short Atanga acted illegally giving herself all the powers lucky it’ pa Zed
Elsewhere u will be sued for wrongful dismissal and forced to pay heavily for such mistakes. So the man has a case he can challenge his expulsion.
I don’t see any contradiction here.What Lungu is simply saying is actually in support of Atanga.She initiated the process in line with the party guidelines but Mr Situla rubished the process.If Mr Situla had complied,the next step was to present his case to the Central Committee.So Mr Lungu had nothing to bring before the CC because Situla disregarded the process.
It was indiscipline for Chikwelete to claim that only the president appointed him and that he answers to him alone, yet Situla can claim it and it is ok.

@mwembeshi some part of your scrip is relatively acceptable but not where you say PF is kabimba and where you term kabimba’s deserved disciplinary action as tribalism.If after kabimba will be the end for PF we don’t care but we choose discipline..it’s a Benchmark.PF consult widely.

Where on earth, a big Party like PF can give one person so much power to expel another member, without referring the case to a disciplinary committee. I have never seen it, the Assistant Secretary General to have so much power. That even MR Kabimba the Secretary General does not have, because if he had he would have expelled all those who were demonstrating about him.
Please let us not be governed by Cagaloo courts. Ms Atanga swallow your proudness, other wise you will destroy this beautiful Party.

Kabimba needs to go, long overdue. This is a litmus test for PF and their Sata disciplinary committee, let’s see what they will do.
