Zambia and Konkola Mine Police defender Chongo Kabaso has been linked with a move to TP Mazembe.
Kabaso is said to be on the verge of joining the DR Congo side.
The 21-year-old left-back is expected to sign a three-year contract at the Lubumbashi outfit.
However Mine Police could neither confirm nor deny the reports linking Kabaso to Mazembe.
“I can’t confirm,” club chairman Gideon Mwenya said on Thursday.
Kabaso featured in Zambia’s October 15 friendly against Brazil in China.
He was a member of the COSAFA Senior Challenge Cup winning Zambia squad in July and scored a goal in the final match against Zimbabwe in Ndola.
Mazembe have more than five Zambian players in their books.

A big NO TO THIS MOVE. TP Mazembe is a PORCUPINE that will strike at a critical point when you need player; Brazil issue was a big lesson. TP Mazembe is the best club and better employer.
TP have more money than Zambian clubs ( money of questionable source ,but true ) ! However , the footballing future of Mazembe players is also questionable ! Katumbi has been blocking potential moves for his players on selfish grounds ! All Katumbi cares about is his TP Mazembe ! He doesn’t give a damn about players progressing by moving to bigger teams than TP .

Tout Puissant Mazembe is the best club in Africa. Moise Katumbi Chapwe knows how to keep and motivate his players. They get paid very well. And whenever they are playing at home, the Stadium is full to capacity. Support is all over!

Katumbi is crook , if Kabaso wants to be help up like it happened to Sunzu, let him go. Only rejects from Europe like Kalaba or Fwayo should go to Mazembe , infact , I cant even comprehend why Sinkala had to opt for Mazembe. Please Moses leave the Zambians alone. They are self sufficient, arrogant and they easily insult. They insult their own President and their Ministers, they talk carelessly about evryone, they spare no one with insult. Please leave them alone. FAZ Should take care of the boy’s contract terms to avoid another disappointment when the boy will be needed most for national duties,this is the time to put things straight, Mazembe must learn to follow contractual terms.
I mate Moses Katumbi through some friend in the middle 90s in Kitwe, that’s not the man you can trust for your fair share in high stake deals. Lesson learnt over Zambia Brazil friendly unless some FAZ officials got bribed which is likely and then they kept on playing people’s mind in the media. Shame on you FAZ, you are kind of lazy bums.
Please don’t let the guy sign anything with katumbi, we are tired of this country where there is no rule of law and can’t feed it’s nationals.
