Only 50+1 will Save Mother Zambia from the King Cobra’s Venom

2016 elections round the corner

2016 is approaching fast, and the King Cobra needs a governing ideology; and the 2016 elections winning strategy, but 50+1 is definitely not one of them. President Sata knows that his ideological programs have failed and the donors have lost respect for him due to his hallucinations. Under no circumstances will the PF administration fund all the projects it carelessly embarked on without freezing wages, cutting spending on health, education, and poverty alleviation programs. Worse still, our economy is being managed by vultures, whose goal is to steal as much as possible before they are fired by King Cobra.

Indeed, amidst the growing distrust of Sata; and amidst his lack of vision and ethical leadership, the Zambian people have realized that the once paraded “man of action” is so docile to an extent that one wonders as to who is really the president of Zambia.

How does Sata plan to win a 2nd term

So how does Sata plan to win his second term? Can he learn from President Kenneth Kaunda, or from his role model, Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe?

President Sata worked with Kaunda and dumped him for the MMD. So if there is anything to learn from Kaunda, it’s the lesson that politics has no permanent friends or enemies—just as he is again a great friend of Kaunda—the man he once put at Mukobeko Maximum Security Prison in 1997—on false charges of treason, claiming that Kaunda “was guilty until proven innocent.” But he must also remember that as with the Chiluba and the Banda administrations, Sata and his cronies will be arrested, come 2016 should they lose the elections. Nonetheless, when it comes to Mugabe, Sata is Mugabe’s “cola” boy. Aside from borrowing “Patriotic Front” from Mugabe’s ZANU-PF, Sata has heaped praise on sub-Saharan Africa’s longest serving dictator–describing him as the “model” African leader. Yet, if Sata plans to use the Mugabe strategy of rigging and intimidation to win his second term, he is mistaken and here is why.

Mugabe is a product of Zimbabwe’s liberation struggle, popularly known as Chimurenga. Although he spent more time studying for his undergraduate degrees than on the war-front, he has personalized the Chimurenga—making it his signature achievement. As for Sata, he was a police officer in the colonial government— the system which taught him to view his fellow Africans as nothing–the attitude he arguably carries to this day.

The difference between Mugabe and Sata

Sata and Mugabe are both dictators, but Mugabe is intellectually superior. He rarely insults opposition leaders, but defines them as “neocolonial” stooges–being used by the West to fight an African government. He blames Western powers for Zimbabwe’s woes, the very powers most Africans blame for Africa’s dire poverty. Personally, I believe Mugabe is a war criminal, but I can’t ignore that his argument is appealing to many Africans. As for Sata, the man insults and belittles his opponents in every speech, proving to the public and the international community that he is ignorant, arrogant, unbalanced, and a dictator.

Perhaps, the biggest problem for Sata is that Zambians are not like Zimbabweans who can be tossed around as Ian Smith did, and now Mugabe is doing. Rather, Zambians are very proud people, and they will never sacrifice their rights to a dictator–no matter how many guns he might hold, or to which tribe he belongs. We united to push colonialists out; we united to push Kaunda out; we united to stop Chiluba’s Third term bid, and did so with Banda—and we will do it again and again.

Why Sata is afraid of HH

So what is president Sata’s strategy? Divide and rule. To my fellow Bembas, Sata is not afraid of Nevers Mumba, Frank Bwalya, or Elias Chipimo, but of HH. He knows that these opposition parties have no meaningful support in Southern and now Western province, where HH’s popularity is intact and growing. But he also knows that PF Western province is no go zone for PF. Worse still, his strongholds are slowly dividing between PF, NAREP and MMD, which is not the case with UPND. So he must stop HH from making any in roads outside these two provinces, and more so in urban areas.

We must demand 50+ 1 clause

I am not saying that HH will win the next election, doing so is ignoring realities on the ground. But one thing I know is that all politicians know that no party will win the 2016 presidency if we demand 50+1; and here lies Sata’s salvation or downfall. If PF kills the 50+1 clause and Sata wins the 2016 elections with less than 30 percent of the total vote–knowing too well that MMD, NAREP, UPND and other opposition parties will share the remaining 70 percent. If PF allows it, King Cobra, Kabimba, GBM and other PF criminals head to prison!

But, we the people, can save Mother Zambia from the King Cobra’s toxic politics and bad governance. Rather than speaking about the referendum, we should insist that our new constitution is void unless it allows 50+1. If we ignore the 50+1 clause, referendum or not, we would have installed Sata as president until 2021–the scandal Mother Zambia cannot afford!

  1. This kapya boy has a flawed analysis unparalleled to any I have come across. we are not developing and coming up with the constitution to fix sata or pf

The 50+1 will be enacted into our constitution and sata can win under that system.

Further sata is not afraid of you HH or any opposition leader for that matter because there is currently no meaningful and credible opposition to mount serious and sustainable challenge to PF

Kapya you must me choking with hatred. Repent!!

    • The analysis is not flawed and the only way Sata can win over 50 percent of votes is if Zambians prove to be more docile than previously thought.Sata is always ranting about HH. ….whenever HH sneezes the president responds…. He would rather respond to HH than respond to nurses or the crisis in the health sector.

    • But ba Rev u missing something, Sata is an ailing man, if he reaches 2016 that would be by God’s grace, if he wins 2016, he may be there for a year. He is a wasted man. I even wonder if he will manage to campaign with vigour in 2016. Only his illness is our saviour for now.

    • I know the pastor may have been waffling here and there, but the truth is 50%+1, will rescue us from PF misrule.

    • kapya’s article is predicated on abhorrence and hell bent on sowing seeds of hatred among various tribes in our beautiful country. No one single tribe can deliver the presidency to any political party in the country.

Kapya is simply a chronic malcontent leading his flock to hell

I strongly believe kapya has a brain of an amoeba, must remember that the serpent is and will always be wise

    • The 50%+1 will definitely come but it will be for the advantage of the Zambian people . Let me tell you this , the 50%+1 will allow the Zambian people to vote a real majority President . But let us not forget that it was the MMD who were so afraid of the 50%+1 . BRING IT ON ! ! !

    • YOUR FRIEND IS BUILDING ROADS, SCHOOL, HOSPITALS ECT YOU THINK PEOPLE WILL EVEN LIKE ANYONE WITH THE TALK OF REMOVING SATA? SATA IS THE MAN ZAMBIA HAS BEEN WAITING FOR ALL ALONG. AS THE FIRST BLOGGER HAS ALREADY SAID WE ARE NOT CHANGING IT TO REMOVE SATA FROM OFFICE. BUT TO KEEP HIM THERE IF ANYTHING. HOW ABOUT THAT?

    • @ Peter ulichipuba chikkalah, who didnt build anything? we will look at governance style and abilities noti ifyo ifyabupuba ulelanda iddioti

    • Sata is thug he won’t accept 50 plus one , he barred kk and is the one and ka Chiluba who brought in simple majority win and the other day Kabimba was saying zambia is not ready with 50 plus 1

  2. Good analysis, that is why HH should stop insulting MMD and other parties, but rather create a good atmosphere where he can freely discuss with other parties to form govt in 2016.

  3. UPND DEFERMATORY ARTICLE. WHY MENTION BEMBAS, WHO TOLD YOU THAT BEMBAS VOTED FOR SATA BECAUSE HE IS BEMBA. OR ARE YOU SAYING TONGAS KEEP VOTING FOR HH BECUASE HE IS TONGA? IF SO, THEN WHY ARE YOU ENCOURAGING BEMBAS NOT TO VOTE FOR SATA IF TONGAS CANT VOTE FOR A BEMBA LEADER? VOTING IS ABT BRINGING SOMEONE WHO CAN MAKE THINGS BETTER FOR ALL. THIS BEMBA, TONGA THINGS SHOULD BE AVOIDIDED. WHY WRITE AN ARTICLE AND BRING IN TRIBAL ISSUES. YOU PEOPLE SHOULD KNOW THAT TRIBALISM IS EVIL. BE CAREFULL. THIS ARTICLE IS NOTHING BUT RUBBBBBISSH!!!!!!

    • True, People should stop this Bemba Tonga thing. after all these People are not neighbours. just discuss issues. The People who vote do not even read this rubbish. they just look at action. Shangombo will have a Canal from their District to Angola it will be 3 meters Deep and 30 meters wide. this is Action. The Shangombese will praise Sata for this and he is developing their area fast. Ignore the donors… Chakomboka wanted to insult them so that they do not bring their money here… zambians can not go on depending on donors.

    • @7.2 Ulemona – you are a liar. If Bembas voted only for Bembas how come they voted for KK,Mwanawasa and RB?.. and who is bemba to you?

    • I want to agree with you. What has the bembas done kanshi? In fact some people dont know these people are generally good people, Please leave them alone. Some I.D.O.T.S think they are cursing this tribe the opposite is actually true; You are blessing them.

  4. I’m not a politician but as a responsible citizen, I agree that we need a popularly elected president hence the need for the 50%+1vote, which clause was crookedly removed by President Chiluba. I don’t know if the current president was party to its removal but the way I see things, the man may give us a very good constitution. at least it may be better thatn what we’ve had so far!

    • Sata was a chief adviser to chiluba and he was party of the group that supported out. he went further to support the third term of chiluba, so why not 50+1.

  5. I’m against Sata and his visionless leadership but it is foolish of us to make an election, our constitution, or any clauses therein an exercise about one man.Elections and constitutions are about a country and its issues and not about men.

  6. I see contradictions everywhere in the article. Most democratic countries have adopted 50% plus one vote in order to guarantee majority rule. However, it is wrong to profile two regional leaders and start to tear one of them to pieces. What is important in politics is to afford the electorate the opportunity to elect a government of their own choice. Remember that every president is not always diplomatic in dealing with undiplomatic situations.

    • @Dr. Makasa Kasonde, that is precisely the point. The country needs a popularly elected head of state to claim the real mandate of the people and not a populist one! There may be contradictions in the article but the major point is that to ensure the popular vote and national acceptance of the sitting president, he must be popularly elected through promulgation of the 50%+1vote clause in the constitution. The rest of the article of course is just political gibberish!

  7. Much as I totally agree with the article on principle, the reality is that the majority that have the voting power for this government are the illiterate and kaponyas. They may be complaining now about the high standards of living but once campaigns start and money is dished out….. I don’t know, maybe i give them too little credit. Hunger has been known to make even the most resolute person change his beliefs so i will remain positive and hope against all hope that the kaponyas and them are with us when the elections come. Right now I do not care whether HH, Nevers or Chipimo win, we just need to get rid of the PF. We have experimented, we have been bitten in the butt and in 2016 we will have a chance to get back to normal again.

    • dudelove, see we the kaponyas and poverty stricken nonentities are not as dull as you think, but truth be told our vote counts and as long as you continue thinking yourself rich, high and intelligent we will keep voting on the lines of our belief. the point is never think of yourself as the almighty….. the are human too and must treat them as such.

    • @dudelove
“…..we just need to get rid of the PF”
That’s precisely the point, getting rid of this vile and malevolent nightmarish party. Electing this party into was a colossal blunder.

    • Geff, if i was almighty as you put it, i wouldn’t even bother talking about removing your Party coz i would still be happy with what I have. But you see, unlike other people who may be happy because they are fulfilled, I feel genuine heartbreak when I see families that can only do one meal a day coz of the high cost of things, things that have unjustifiably become expensive because of clueless leadership. Can you truly say this country is headed in the right direction with regards governance and economic policy? Borrowing to spend? No employment for the next two years? When a country man bleeds, no matter how well off you are, you are obligated to bleed with him and if the only way to stem that bleeding is to use your voice to speak out against the cause of that bleeding, do it.

    • @Jeff

Your point isn’t clear to me. Dudelove has not said Kaponyas are dull nonentities. He only acknowledges their current discontent, but wonders whether they’ll maintain their resolve in the face of hunger and then subsequent ‘bribing’ by PF.

We all know too well that the Kaponya vote counts – We wouldn’t be where we are otherwise.

But since you identify yourself as a kaponya, perhaps you could be our barometer in kaponyaland. How goes it there currently bwana?

    • @High Speed Black Mama -Someone’s still stealing my Name! says:
“…..perhaps you could be our barometer in kaponyaland” cracked my ribs.

    • Dudelove is right. If you look at USA’s voting patterns you see uneducated whites(riffraffs mostly in rural states voted for Romney and educated whites went for Obama. In Nairobi an educated guy named Mbaru had alot of online support but come voting day it was the riffraffs with no internet access that voted for fellow riffraff as nominee for Nairobi governorship.

  8. Who told you that HH would be in second position? MMD is stronger than UPND. And who told you that Mumba, or Chipimo could not support Sata. Poor analysis indeed.

    • those are the signs and symptoms of staying away from home for a long time(a phiri anabwela syndrome) … poor analysis, you dont even know what is on the ground, dont depend on zamwatchdog…. come down and see for yourself. your friends here are complaining that its taking them longer than at any other time since independence to drive from livingstone to chililabombwe because road projects are everywhere.is that a genuine complaint sure! and for the popularity of HH, you better come and see for yourself and i would advice you to drive from l/stone to chilis, am sure before you reach kitwe you’ll know the truth.

  9. The fake reverend is hallucinating again ! Come on you fake man of “god”.You can do better than this.Who told you that Sata nd his team are stealing ? Stop including the bemba crap in your articles too.You might not like the PF government but that doesn`t mean that you must lose your sense of rationality.

    • @ek, retract your comment on the man of God. The Bible says ‘Touch not the Anointed of God’. You can disagree with his article without insulting and you point will be heard. As a result of insulting men of God, many people are cursed or living under a curse knowingly or unknowingly.

  10. The bottom line however, is that Sata’s physique is collapsing and may not go beyond 2016. Question is, do Sata’s possible successor-Kabimba, GBM, Kambwili…stand a chance against HH and Mumba?

  11. this analysis lacks research and was written out of frustration. Why mentioning Zambians as having realized that the current president is a dictator. My friend you are the only one who has realized what I have not seen. For my self he is soon going to be one of the best president ZAmbia has ever have. He is taking development across the country. You must just agree that he has changed the style of leadership. If you expect to be seeing him every hour on TV you are mistaken. The man is working no wonder lazy chaps have failed to work with Him. He has no time for petty issues. His concern is about the welfare of a common Zambian and not selfish chaps like you. If he was a dictator can you even have time to write all this non sense. Lets just appreciate what the man is doing. HH is no match.

    • @Richcool
“He has no time for petty issues” You made me laugh, Sata is a petty politician and he thrives on petty bickering and squabling. Day in day out we are presented with his comical acts, and you say he has no time for petty issues!

    • Richcool, I agree with you Michael Chilufya Sata was democratically elected by the people of Zambia and he has been in the office 24 months only.
PF and Sata are busy expanding the hydro power capacity, better schools and health centers, new roads, Kafuel Nitrogen Chemicals of Zambia, new districts and infrastructure development.
Its bizarre to thick that the under five can win the next elections.

    • i have pictured a montage running behind this phrase “You must just agree that he has changed the style of leadership. If you expect to be seeing him every hour on TV you are mistaken. The man is working no wonder lazy chaps have failed to work with Him. He has no time for petty issues.” Montage ‘Sata in bed at around 11:30AM sipping tea and doing crossword puzzle yamu daily mail, looks up frustrated because he can’t figure out ‘3 down, used to see, first letter ‘E” lifts phone and yells ‘Iwe George, ka HH hasn’t issued any funny statement that i can reply to ayi? am bored man!’
You have to admit @ Richcool that you saying Sata does not have time for petty issues is completely laughable.

  12. why all this hurt and anger? this is what brings Civil wars. This article says it is okay for Tongas to support HH while it is not okay for Bembas to support Sata. Can we sale policies for once instead of tribe. 50+1 favours bembas because they accupy more provinces than Tongas. Easterners will also side with bembas. But I feel if people a taught to vote for one who will develop the country this will be helpful for all of us.

  13. with or without Sata, the constitution has to be enacted as it is with 50%+1 vote intact. otherwise, tukasumana inama mumeno, like big kambwili would say!

the constitution is not about any political party but about us the youth and our future grand children!

  14. Sounds well thought out – but seems to be a direct attack on Sata. It is true that PF has done a lot of harm in the few months it has been in power, it is not worth changing our constitution just to fix one party.

I would like to see 50+1 just as a means to make sure Zambians get the leader they vote for, and the leader gets the mandate of the people.

No one wants PF to continue to rule, but we must be careful and constitutional in the way we do this.

    #OneZambia

  15. The only way to save Zambia is when the Zambian people decide to save themselves. There are alot of Cobras with way more leathal vernom out there waiting to be awakened.
Zambians need to come above handouts, they need to be bigger than themselves to overcome the temptation of getting everything the easiest way. I dont blame those abusing you, you are allowing them. if you study the prognosis of this affair, you will realise that you the Zambian people have the power to achieve that clean free corrupt political atmosphere, arm your selves high, the crisis will always threaten our economy, the political upheavals will always be there and so will the scavengers, the greatest weapon to destroy or conquer lies not in HH, Mumber etc, but in you common Zambians, you have the right and power.

    • @ Abeenaa,
Oh my god am strugling to find a translation in Zambian languages let me try….. mmmmm Bemba hihihihihi, ichilangililo is it ukulolesha pa ma results? or may be umulandu? no not that wait a sec….. mmmmmm, Abeenaa i dont know in these languages seriously can someone help? I know for sure that a prognosis can looked at on from a medical point of view, or it can be used to determine various out come of any situation, am an Artist so i use and play with words very much, to understand my point, you have to follow the body of the topic and read btwn the lines, it’s a shame that my Zambian languages are below par, i should start learning.

    • Just curious, (and I’m genuinely asking) what language you’re proficient in?

  16. I can just imagine (and hope) that Sata decides not to stand and goes through with imposing Kabimba! If that happens, I might even believe the existence of a God coz that action alone would mean we are getting our country back! Spongebob Squarepants would win if he stood against Kabimba!

    • my friend, the fact that you can see, breathe, talk, think should be enough to make you believe God exists. do you ever think about such things?

anyways, you are spot on in your comment! i can only imagine as well, the cobra giving up to someone else in 2016 mmh

  17. This is a real opportunity for the opposition parties in Zambia to unite and put the interest of the country first. If we are united we would not be making a mistake of voting SATA as president. He is just a conman, insolent and just a rude old man. The opposition leaders are very valuable Zambian citizens. We certainly want development but not to be insulted just because you have put up a road between chelston and kalingalinga and decreed a few districts and a new province all these without a financial plan. Our country is a loughing stork. The man cannot engage in a discussion with and reasonable head of state for anything except to insult and demean opposition leaders. His memory is that of a fly. Just two years ago he was in opposition and he does not remember one word he uttered.

  18. Hatred Hatred Hatred that is why God will continue blessing and keeping Sata because evil people wishes him dead.Mind you leaders are chosen by God and if God says yes no one can say no.stay blessed.

    God bless mother Zambia.

  19. You cannot enact a law just to fix one
    individual.

With or without 50+1, any Bemba dominated
party if it wants to may easily form a
coalition with anyone if need be at the
    expense of other tribes.

    Please ask Presidents Kenyatta,
Zuma, Mugabe or appraise yourself with the
    tribal demography of Angola, Tanzania
    or Botswana.

If your dread one tribal dominance
please try the self regulating system
    of proportional representation of
    South Africa.

Chiluba tried to force a sickly Levy on us
otherwise it could have been a Bemba
    presidency to date.

    • I like your proposals especially proportional representation, but know what! these tribal/ sick individuals would still complain, though it would statistically be the right way to ensure all tribes or regions are being represented equally.

  20. Reveland Kaoma, your analysis makes very interesting reading. If you do manage to see my posting, I want you to explain how you think the results might be in the first round if the 50 +1 clause is included and how this would save mother Zambia from PF misrule and King Cobra’s vernom?

  21. Ba Reverend, what has befallen you? Is all well and are you sure your brain is free from insanity? How on earth does a reverend accuse the president of being a dictator when he doesn’t even describe the state of his own calling. Kaoma, please grow and stop cheating your conscious. Ubushilu tabapenena panse balafula. Rev…Rev…!!!

  22. This is the worst resemblance of an analysis. Starting to read the first Paragraph makes feel like puking my lungs out. Sata has always been himself since time in memorial and has never presented so he can get your vote. We the Zambian People voted for him and on two occasions he was dribbled of a clear win. The writer really dislike Sata most likely for political reasons because he really wished somebody else with who he might agree with won the last election. You are the same A**holes who wrote negatively about a wage hike in the fist place and when a freeze is discussed you are against it as well; well, what the F will you ever agree with? Are you going to disagree or oppose for the sake of doing so? Go hang and stop this nuisance “Lekeni tubombeko bafikala”

  23. The piece is well written quiet alright but it is deliberately silent of figures that could support the claims. The analysis should be about numbers and not blocks of the country. HH may get Western and North Western but these two provinces voter strength equals to Chawama, Mandevu and Kabwata combined. Please unpack and explain at that level.

  24. Rev Kapya Kaoma, did you just say Mugabe rarely insults opposition leaders? What have you been reading or watching? Did you read the one where he called Morgan Tsvangirai as ‘the ugliest man’ he had ever seen and “as good as mad”?

  25. Anything to do with Bemba whether right or wrong, to this rev (false teacher) it is wrong. Let me tell you this:
I was at UNZA and the tongas used to be in majority by that time. Every UNZASU president used to be a Tonga whether intelligent or not. They simply used to vote on tribal lines. Period. If you are bemba and tries to apply as a lecturer at a Tonga infested department at UNZA, just know that you won’t have the job even when there is a vacancy. Even the selection for 1st years students used to be biased. That is how bad they are. The Nalumangos who have been given a sweet are danger. The 50+1 he is talking about can’t work. All people know the kind of people the useless Rev supports. Ask Nawakwi, Chipimo, Nevers, Frank bwalya, they will never side with these guys (UPND) .

    • You will continue to rot with your tribalism. You are right Unza has more Tongas than any other tribe because SP has more schools than any other p. They have/had the highest passing rate for decades. So, it’s not by chance that UNZASU presidents have been tongas. Have you looked at congratulatory msgs form LSK private schools in papers after G 7, 9, 12 results are out? Most students with highest results are NOT bembas sorry but Tongas. Do you want students to elect presidents even after they passed through leakage from some sch in mpika? Look at the history of UNZASU presidents the best have been tongas and the worst you guessed–bembas. Look at the presidents of our country the best has been Tonga (bantu botatwe) Levy and the worst you guessed right–Bemba chiluba/sata. Do I need to go…

    • Wezi wrong.I don’t hate Tongas. I hate their behaviour. Tongas vote on tribal lines. Period. Bembas are more educated now. I have the statistics from both UNZA and CBU. The reason why Tongas/lozis were slightly larger in number at UNZA is becoz Tongas on selection used to be biased during first year selection. Very few bembas where accepted even when they have excellent results. Which intelligent UNZASU presidents? Most of them were involved in scandals and a vote of no confidence will ensue a few months later. In my class of 31students where i was 23 were bembas. My friend in economics were 26 students, 17 were bembas. This is the scenario now my dear ignorant wezi. If bembas are not educated look at this: Eg the bemba professors I know are about 21. What about the ones I don’t know.

    • I am not bemba myself but i like being with bembas. I feel free with them you listen Wezi wezi. In my class where I was the best student was a bemba. Many more bemba students have been the best in most of the institutions I know. The good thing about bembas is that they don’t boast or announce and that is why I like them. Most of the bembas who settled on the CB are engineers on the on the mines. There are electrical, mechanical mining engineers, geologists, accountants, lawyers. I am not talking from without my dear ignorant Wezi. At UNZA i used to listen to the manifestos of aspiring UNZASU leaders. Nothing impressive i used to hear especially from tongas. However due to tribalism, the fellow Tongas would vote even for dull UNZASU leader as long as he is Tonga.

  26. SELF ANNOINTED PASTOR OF HATE. STUDY YOUR ZAMBIA WELL AND SEE WHO IT CAN FAVOUR IF PEOPLE ELECTED BY TRIBE AFFILIATION.
A REAL MAN OF GOD WILL PROMOTE UNITY OF THE NATION NOT HATRED.
    KAKAOMA ULIKAKWINDI NANGU KAKOSWE!
    STOP THE NONSE YOU WRITE.
WHICH ZAMBIAN PRESIDENT EVER BROUGHT DEVELOPMENT IN TWO YEARS TO THIS EXTENT?
MANY PEOPLE ARE SO DISAPPOINTED THE WAY SATA HAS BEHAVED…WITH HIS SILENCE…WE PRETEND TO KNOW PEOPLE WHEN WE DONT.
SATA MAY GOD HELP YOU MORE TO DEVELOP OUR BUSHY ZAMBIA

  27. President Sata is busy working, He wants to have something to point at come 2016. Opposition politics is easy because you just imagine things and think you can do better then you make a promise to the electorates. Sata
wants to make his job in 2016 easy by just pointing at his achievements and ask for votes.

  28. you can all debate, argue and analyse. Only GOD will decide and his decision will be so sweet that we will wonder why we didnt think so in the first place.

  29. Did anyone at anytime think that Bwezani Banda, a farmer will be Zambia’s 4th president? Just continue with usual campaigns because only GOD knows who will occupy plot no.1 in 2016

  30. Such revs.are the ones who are busy sleeping with church members we always read in papers and he must be a big foul. instead of him focusing on how he hook more to Christ is busy talking about politics.

    • so if we follow your logic, say the rev is taking a walk and he finds a bunch of UPND cadres kicking the piss out of a PF cadre, lets say you, and then you see the rev and start screaming for help and lets suppose the rev has a gun and is capable of defending you but then he would say ‘Oh, thats a political conflict, I only deal with Jesus issues, good luck! I’ll pray for you though!’ before sauntering off. That would be okay with you, te?

  31. If these flags against your names are true of your present locality, then I guess you better shut. Just because you have wished for something does not mean you have ever set goals to accomplish it.

  32. Bwana, face facts-PF is fast losing ground and very fast!
We’ve seen it all before in other parties.
    Theirs has been too early….

  33. South Africa avoided Zulu OR one TRIBE
    dominance by adopting a proportional
    type of ‘democracy’ or representation
otherwise it will always be Bemba majority
    rule.

The Chilubas and Satas will always
rule like the Tswanas of Botswana
or the Kikuyus of Kenya or Chopi /Tshongas
of Mozambigue or Shonas of Zimbabwe
or the Ovumbindu / Mbundu of Angola.

PLSE DO NOT BE DECEIVED BY THE
    CURRENT MARRIAGES OF CONVENIENCE
    BETWEEN POLITICAL PARTIES. THEY WILL
CRUMBLE LIKE A DECK OF CARDS OR
    LIKE MRS ZIMBA DID
    WHEN THE TIME COMES!!!

    • I agree. I have always thought that we can build in some quality in our voting by adopting a proportional system and forget this idea of directly electing a president or leader by all citizens. Parliament is best placed to do that. In addition why not assign every province assuming it is a measure of ethnicity a single vote. Total provincial votes can then be related to the majority party votes and declare a winner for final endorsement by parliament.

Unless you have a ‘quality’ vote, you are headed nowhere. The 50 pc +1 is at best a theory and can still deliver a bad president purely because it is an aggregation of the
one man one vote thing which in my opinion is mostly flawed. One man one vote works best I think in well informed societies and should be limited in impact.

  34. @JOHN

May be you were too young then.

RB was installed by Levy. Ley was
installed by Chiluba. Chiluba was installed
by the Lewanikas and Winas etc
after so much deliberation of the Bemba factor.

If Chiluba had allowed the Chitalas and
    Nawakwis or Mungombas and Kateles
to exercise a free vote, Levy could still
be living a quiet life somewhere today.

    • People forget too easily. I feel sorry for a certain segment of people. They have even forgotten what happened to Mazoka when he did not get the OK from Chiluba. Last minute loss.

  35. A fight btween a SNAKE and a MAN will never end, it either bites u n later b killed or disappears, and U struck its heard first and burn or burry it, If Sata Re. K. is still a Cobra he has already seen yo open ankle to bite n u will remain crying. Politics seem not to be of or for people’s interest but 4 individuals, wht i mean is as long as we keep on insulting and hating one another nothing good will happen in our country let politicians come together and share their ideas and develop our Z, the differences shud b there and that shud b in failing to deliver wht they( politician) had planed together for the people, and when it comes to change the govnment we will all understand the error.

  36. Ba Rev,

You forgot to mention that HH is likely to extend his support base to N/Western, much of central, rural copperbelt and Eastern (if he continues working with RB). The way things stand now HH will also get a good chunk of urban areas(especially Lusaka and the C/Belt). That is why Sata is having nightmares.

    • Dream on. HH wins one bye election in MMD area amidist confusion and he gets a hard on thinking things have changed. His dull followers too

  37. It is important to first have a sober mind before you start to write articles. We enact laws not to fix people but to have a better future especially in the area of social-economic justice. Let us have 50+1 but not to fix Sata and his regime coz we will be fixing people all the time but to better our lives. Let us be magnanimous enough to embrace 1another. Tribalism is clearly rampant in Zambia but if people were magnanimous enough we would vote on purely an informed point of view and avoid ushering in bad leaders. MAGNANIMITY is the only solution to Zambia’s woes but a lase many a people are drunk with feelings of superiority of their tribal grouping, a feeling which is a twin to racism and it is rooted in greed and pride, 2 evils which clearly are eating the foundation of the world.

  38. Rev. Kapya Kaoma raises very fundamental principles that relate directly to the projected out come of the 2016 elections results. Many bloggers expressing their opinions are based on either partisanship, emotional or myopic. Many of them lack substantive in re battle to well promulgated ideals offered in the discourse at hand.
Remember Zambians Mr Sata won presidential elections with a margin of less than 2%. Mr Sata has lamentably failed to raised his profile since then and instead his actions are failing to enthuse and bring hope to majority Zambians. That is his No.1 enemy.
Give the analysis by Kaoma, with all things (50+1%) in place, the likely out come of the 2016 presidential election will give birth to a coalition government in Zambia.

  39. Rev.u need deliverance from the demons making u write subjective analysis. Yos is from heresay. U are getting data from demons who are liers. A Rev. with such a hate for Sata! know this,Mr Sata is wat God says. Not wat yo demons say.

    • this 1diot called osmosis always talks about demons, it means he is also a demon. you only associate yourself with your kind. twaleni uko fima-demon fyenu malukula iwe

    • @Shimpundu, the issue here is not HH, but a popularly elected president. We don’t care who wins after the re-run but as long as he has the real mandate of the people. That’s the point, sir!

  40. 50+1 or not, what is to be shall be. Only God knows what’s ahead of us and only time will tell. But let the pundits speak their mind, it keeps this site alive.

  41. RB will be a big factor in next general elections. If he stands he will divide the votes and if he support HH, PF stands no chance of entering state house ever again. And loss will be definitely a disaster for Kabimba, GBM, Nsanda, Kambwili and Sata’s family. They have been busy stealing. If RB comes back they will go in jails within 6 months sentenced and consigned. If HH comes, it will be a slow process and some of them will have enough time to leave the world.

  42. One zambia one nation.its a shame to hear a reverend hate an individual like that.i wonder what church he is heading. Im sure if a member makes a mistake, they are expelled.
sata may have an orthodox way of running the government, but i can assure you that the man is delivering according to his promise.we can campaign against him,but please lets wait for 2016 to make that judgement.insult him if you want,it will make no difference for him.He is the president of the republic of zambia and no one else.kindly advise an individual if you love them. And don’t expect everyone ideas to be taken on board. One step at a time.

  43. yo under 5 2days ago he confesed dat he cant win a general election without d support of mmd. n u r telin us dat dey wil b a change of govt come 2016! kep on dreamin its yo constitution rite!

  44. Good day! Do you use Twitter? I’d like to follow you if that would be okay.
I’m undoubtedly enjoying your blog and look forward to
    new updates.

Here is my blog :: ortosis

  45. I’ve been browsing on-line greater than 3 hours as
of late, yet I by no means found any interesting article like yours.
It is beautiful value sufficient for me. In my opinion, if all web owners and bloggers made excellent content
material as you probably did, the internet shall be a lot more helpful than ever before.

    my web blog; orthotics

  46. Rev should not use emotions to write articles for public consumption. In as much as there are wrongs committed by Sata , HH will not be an angel either. In case Rev doesn’t know, all past Presidents of this country have been called Dictators , KK, FTJ ,Mwanawasa & RB , now Sata is being called the same, but , I feel if indeed Sata was a Dictator , Judge Chikopa tribunal wouldn’t have been stopped , Mumbi ,Shikapwasha,Chiimba ,everyone at ZNBC,Daily Mail & Times , including some Pastors and chiefs like this one from Southern province in Mazabuka and many people would be in jail . Zambia needs development , and that can only come through Unity of the people. We need to open up this Country through building of roads so that Agric products can reach lsk cheaper , wanting subsidies wont…

  47. He is not Kapya but HAKAPYA. So don’t worry about him. These are prophets of doom. Who tells this vagabond that Sata fears the 50% +1 vote for a winning presidential candidate. I would like to assure this HAKAPYA that even if Sata lost elections in 2016 ( which is very unlikely), he would gladly face the law because he is not a stealer like rupia and chiluba including haha.
