Dr.Mumba, who pleaded with President Michael Sata, to rescind his decision to fire the nurses and consider the impact it has on the patients.

“I want them to hear the cry of the patients and not play the power of politics game. We demand that the President reverses his decision to fire the nurses,” Mumba said.

Let President Sata visit UTH and see for himself the impact of the sacking on the patients. They should reinstate them and address their grievances instead.”

  1. he is scared of getting closer to the mortuary, there are more than 30 people dying in a day so do not expect him to visit UTH. wishful thinking ba mumba

  2. bhusa o phusa! why talking now when nurses were fired three days ago. where were you with your dwindling party. you have lost credibility and relevance disband MMD and join UPND

  3. There is no crisis at UTH. People die very day and that is normal in any big hospital. The president is well informed of anything happenning on the ground and there is no need for him to visit UTH just to assess the situation. The fired nurses should only be reinstated on condition that they be deployed to rural areas and not UTH. The nurses shouldnt take the Zambian government for granted. There is a PF government in place and we expect order in the country.

    • Iwe kumimba do u value human life? Do you think the situation is the same as it was b4 nurses were fired?? UTH is oledi in big shortage of nurses if u dnt knw. There4 firing thoz nurses it wil just worsen the situation. Go there and see 4yoself. Yes nurses made a mistake but firing them is another mistake

  4. THE PRESIDENT WAS INFORMED BY COMPETENT MINISTERS.

WHY DO YOU THINK, PASTOR, THE PRESIDENT LIKE ALL OF US BECAME SO UPSET BY NURSES’ ILLEGAL STRIKE WHICH COMPELLED HIM TO TAKE ACTION?

  5. Ba Mumba

Is it not crises like the one you found at UTH which could compel any employer to fire striking medical workers?

  6. Bwalya leave Nevers alone , Sata should not be prioritizing commissioning a generator when there is a crisis, people love him because they think he cares
and listens, unfortunately he has changed , Saizi PF screwed people’s paychecks
you are in U.S you should know better, in fact those employees have a right to demand what’s rightly fully theirs and they pay taxes , the government needs advisers they way they do things it’s very easy to challenge them in court with their
    unfair practices.

  7. The problem is that we have rotten unions and mother body ZCTU who are just interested of the contributions they collect from the members this is the time when they should be organizing for a country wide legal strike or demonstration for all servants of the govt to demand for unconditional reinstatement of the nurses, We should not be taken for a ride by these leaders please Zambians……….. The same when Shoprite acted they Chishamender when the dictator Sata acted that’s when he started opening his white mouth what shame on his white face ……… Remember and always remember that God is watching in heaven….. Please nurses don’t apply a solutions will be found. If these feeble minded beings fail the almighty God will act for you your act was for the betterment of mother…

  8. Even demons mention the almight God.We now can see demagogues.lt is too much pf ba midelela maningi.ln the abundance of democracy even fo ols are talking. There has been alot of st upidity in the civil service.lazy human beings.

  9. Before the 2011 elections, dictator Michael Sata severely criticized both Levy Mwanawasa and Rupiah Banda for spending taxpayers’ money by seeking medical attention outside Zambia and for not improving local health facilities. But since Sata is a hypocrite,he has forgotten what he used to say; in fact, more taxpayers’ money has been wasted on his medical treatment abroad than on his two predecessors. He has failed to improve hospitals and clinics both in urban and rural areas so he is ashamed of going to UTH to inspect the chaos he caused by making false promises to nurses which resulted in a strike. The mess at UTH is due to Sata’s poor leadership.

  10. here comes this tithe thieving and offertory grabbing good for nothing mmd president. It shows neverlands has never been to grz hospitals in a long time he would ve conditions are pathetic since time in memorial.

  11. What facts do you have about the medical expenditure for the president? If you don’t have please I beg you to stop peddlings lies about our hard working president. My conclusion about your comment sir or madam is hatred you have for the big man. God bless

  12. When nurses were on illegal strike no opposition leader spoke against the nurses action on behalf of the patients but suprisingly after those nurses got fired ;now people with double standard started talking so that we feel that they are concerned with our suffering patients,no there is more to it than just pleading for the nurses to be reinstated and this is to gain cheap political milleage at the expense of the action.
