Zambia has bowed out of the Cecafa Cup after giving away an extra-time lead to lose 2-1 to Sudan in a semifinal match in Mombasa on Tuesday.
This match went into extra-time after a goalless 90 minutes at Mombasa Municipal Stadium in Kenya.
Zambia were seeminly heading into the Cecafa Cup final when striker Ronald Kampamba gave his side a 110th minute lead before Miaaz Addeirahim equalised for Sudan four minutes later.
Striker Ibrahim Salah punished Chipolopolo with a 119th minute wonder goal that sent Sudan to the final.
Salah beat his marker Christopher Munthali before unleashing a powerful volley to score his fifth goal of the competition.
Earlier in the first half, Kampamba had his goal ruled out for a foul inside the box.
Meanwhile, Zambia will now compete in Thursday’s third and forth play-off against the losers of the second semifinal match between Kenya and Tanzania.
This coach has not won any substantial game so far. Zambia, African cup winners cannot have a coach of no standing. We need a higher calibre coach.
Why did Sata announce that he was visiting Kenya, he messed the moral of the boys.
TIP:
Breath in and out, then count to Ten before you say anything.
Hard luck guys maybe next time!
We said “shut-up” to the people who has a tall tongues ! Bye bye Zambia , and if any1 yet not beleive in sudan Team team abilites and young intelligens he should watch us in the final , to see how Eagles are attacking with the poisson Nails !
I agree with you, you guys handle Military ships which hand over Millions of Dollars and Euros just to be spared…. that in itself is nothing but sheer huge Brains!
You, my friend, have a literacy problem. Please go back to school, deal with it and come back and blog with us.
im here and sudsnese as we are your falcond u chipolopolo
kekekekeke..how do you expect to win with a physiotherapist..?lekeke..hire a coach ba Zambia..
Ba cindy! which side are you?sudan is not the best, football is tricky even the under gods like sudan can bost to say they good.regardles of the results zambia is the best footballing nation.connect me if you can…
@ Tony,
Read through again, what I said has nothing to do with them being good at Soccer.
Let me give you a clue…… Millitaryships, Hands over Millions and Just to be spared. So that should be enough to get the sarcasm!
@ Cindy: Just like I thought that some people would fail to understand that your statement was supposed to be read as sarcasm. Well, give them time, they will learn. Let those who are wise utilize this platform to grab some education, be it informal or not. Sarcasm is a humorous remark or statement that is made to appear to be praising someone/something but is in the real sense mocking or wounding that particular object of reference. Let’s look at Cindy’s response to S. Guy. S. Guy alludes to the idea that the Sudanese are more intelligent than Zambians. At which point, Cindy retorts that, in that sense, the degree of their intelligence would have to be measured by the billions they spend on warships killing their own folk (a trait the Sudanese are infamous for).
ure drunk u mumu
Much as I thought. Time to sign a peace treaty with Sudan, I guess. Why are Zambians ever so arrogant? It’s high time we learnt to be humble. It pays.
Best news for me.We are beaten and out so its good so we can focus on more important stuff like lack of drugs at UTH,nurse strikes and cleaning our awful kamwala, msisi and all other filthy slums of Lsk.Thank you Sudan.
dear bro Mzambia u r abs right at the of the day its a football we go home and we face other important problems. I do hope Zambian leave the play ground of the match and remember that we are brothers. ask Sakwaha ur National team mate how has been treated in Sudan. had Zambia quilify for WC w’ll be representing Sudan and all Africa. Please do not mix politics with football.
My oservations
1.Lack of tactical discipline especially in the defence.
2.Sudan could have scored more goals had their strikers been clinical.Defensive lapses
3.Zambia seem to have adopted these long and overhead balls when it was obvious that both the Brundi and Sudanese players were taller than the Zambians.I woud’t be hard on them because the pitch was not carpet ball playable.
4.Overall I woudn’t be hard on the coach,He performed better than expectations.Remember this is a purely home groomed team that has played together for less than a month
Hard luck Chipolopolo. The experience gained is priceless.
Sorry it’s My observations on the Zambia Sudan semi-finals
BA TONY, ARE YOU SURE SUDAN IS NOT BETTER THAN ZAMBIA? KALUSHA BWALYA FOUGHT A BOARDROOM 3 POINTS WHEN WE LOST TO SUDAN 2-1 IN KHARTOUM. RETURN MATCH, SUDAN CAME TO ZAMBIA AND FORCED A DRAW 1-1 AT LEVY MWANAWASA IN NDOLA. THEREFORE, SUDAN IS FAR MUCH BETTER THAN OUR TEAM. LIKE SOCCER ANALYST HAS RIGHTLY OBSERVED, SUDAN COULD HAVE SCORED MORE GOALS IF THEIR STRIKERS HAD BEEN CLINICAL.
My Observation. Ba Zambia Makula Period ……..
The Coach is just poor in tactics….he does not study the game. Why should his lads not attack but play backwards whenever they find a wall in the Sudanese defense? Our lads could not attack nor run, they played a lazy-lazy game as if they are dull in their heads. I am really pissed off by this mediocre performance of the Chipolopolo……why do they play dully…. shaaaa.
Peace and Prosperity to Mother Zambia.
Defenders are to be blamed not the coach.I don’t know why we always relax after scoring. Give the coach time. This is the same team Sudan used when we were beaten away and drew at home but we have used a different team.In football Mwebena Zambia you win, draw and loose.Even world champions loose its normal. In fact winning leads to complacency but loosing pains, make us work hard and we learn from our mistakes. Kamutasha kali kwitobo. Lets support the team in good and bad times.Go Zambia GO
no son its different this our is the B team
The team lacks tactical discipline. Now the question is who instills tactical discipline? The answer is simple, the coach has the responsibility to come up with a formation that is suitable for a particular game/match. He selects the players who he knows are capable of delivering results, makes substitutions that positively impact on the outcome of the game, gives instructions to his team on how to approach the game when leading or when trailing. A coach has the duty to strengthen his players mentally and to help them know what to do in different situations.
Coach waba Zambia taishiba fyonse ifi and to make matters worse he uses the same system of play which makes our team very easy to predict. Zambia needs a coach who will read the game and be able to turn tables at any time. Too…
Zambia is finished! It will take years to come out of this situation. As long as Kalu and his friends remain at Football house our soccer standards will continue …. Huts off to Sudan. They have proved beyond doubt that they are a better team than us. If anything I see them lifting that trophy. I feel pity for blind supporters of Chipolopolo team.
