Defence Minister Geoffrey Mwamba says he is more than ready to campaign alongside his Justice counterpart Wynter Kabimba in the forthcoming by-elections following the President Michael Sata’s directive.

Mr Mwamba and Mr Kabimba have been linked to two rival groups in the ruling party which have recently been involved in violent clashes.

On Monday during caucus meeting for PF Members of Parliament, President Michael Sata called on the two Cabinet Ministers to show the country that there are no differences in the ruling Patriotic Front (PF) by jointly conducting campaigns for the PF candidates in the forthcoming by-elections.

Mr. Mwamba has told Qfm news in telephone interview from South Africa that he personally does not have any problem working with Mr. Kabimba and that President Sata’s counsel is more than welcome.

He explains that the only differences that existed earlier were between his group and that of Mr. Kabimba and not personal differences.

Mr. Mwamba says this why he is in support of President Sata’s directive because it will further bring about unity in the ruling party thereby help serve the Zambian people in the manner the party is expected to serve.

Mr. Mwamba who is also PF Kasama central Member of Parliament says without unity in the ruling party there cannot be development in the country.

Efforts to get Mr. Kabimba over President Sata’s directive proved futile as his phone went unanswered.

  1. congrats for making peace. The sad part though is that in your name cadres were maimed , hurt and even died.
Please in future as leaders , do not carelessly invoke the emotions of your supporters and leave them to hurt themselves. Big lessons should be learnt

    • I salute MCS for being a brilliant politician. He has kept the two (Kabimba and GBM) within his government ; he ‘loves’ both of them and thus the perceived division is gone as both are ‘loved’ by the President. I urge Chipimo and HH to learn from this stroke of genius from MCS. Expulsions are not the answer to resolve differences. That is why you even have good offices, mediators, conciliators etc. Well done, spitting Cobra!!!

  2. Well Damage already done; For example we didnt know that PF had corrupt and tribal leaders as confessed by Kabimba….

  3. But dont fight when you meet you guys. Tell yo cadres to behalve other wise ngesa milopola .

Peace and prosperity to Mother Zambia.

  4. Of course, that is what we expect. It is silly to keep quarelling all the time over a chair that is already occupied. You guys should work hard to make sure that PF is strong, not pulling in opposite directions. Good show of partriotism for both Kabimba and GBM. You win respect and support this way, not by fighting and quarelling in public like kids.

    • Sata is a great ‘polygamist’ and any man should who desires to have women live in peace should learn from him. 1. Dont side with the two women who are contending for pole position for your love. 2. There is nothing wrong with two women vying to outshine each other and get the lioness share of your love. 3. They may fight or call each other garbage, swine or whatever they please, but you know why you love each one of them. Name calling cannot sway you. 4. Encourage the two rivals to reconcile; afterall they both share exact intimate goodies courtesy of you. 5. Never reprimand both pundits in public for ‘fighting’ since you know that you are the battle ground.
