Renard records first Ligue 1 win

Share

Herve Renard picked up his first French Ligue 1 win on Saturday since taking charge in October.

Sochaux beat visiting Rennes 2-1 and were prior to that winless in nine league games under the ex-Zambia coach picking up three draws and six defeats.

However, the win was his second overall after beating Montpellier 3-2 after extra time in the French League Cup on October 30.

Meanwhile, Zambia striker Emmanuel Mayuka did not make the team for the win against 15th placed Rennes who had Burkina Faso captain Jonathan Pitroipa in the starting lineup.

Sochaux rise one place up the table after the win from 20th to 19th place following the victory.

    • @Nostradamus too swift to comment before digesting and understanding the article. Not suprised at all that he chose to misread the article; this is the way most ‘bloggers’ behave on this forum: Quick to comment without taking time to reason and attempt to undertand the topical issue

  1. HR continue putting that LOZI boy called Mayuka on bench, you see when he features your team loses and he doesnt feature u win . Also Mr HR how can MAYUKA be compared with international sensation Jonathan Pitroipa, please in all faireness we all know JP is better than EM so now that they are fighting of the same number ah the Zambian LOZI boy is finished at SOCHABE

    • I am just surprised that you can’t understand the english in the article, Mayuka and Jonathan Pitroipa are not fighting for the same position as the two play for different clubs.

    • @anyoko and Nostra bla bla bla…
Read the article again and please get somebody to tell you whats it is saying, seems you cant understand the English. elyo ba Nostra bla bla bla, mwasebana mwe…

    • @anyoko. Is it so difficult to understand that the article says Pitroipa is with Rennes and not Sochaux? What is so difficult about understanding this simple fact from the article? And it is not only anyoko but several others too.

  2. ba Nostradamus, first muletekanya, mwaumfwa icusungu then you comment, that’s why most of your comments on many articles on this site have been off target, typical of many Zambians who always want to comment without reading or understanding the issue, all they want is just to be heard

  3. In all fairness, the former coach is gone, why keep following him. I understand if you write about Mayuka but HR is not Zambian and left the Zambian team. For heavens sake forget him. Its like after a divorce you keep following what your former husband or wife is doing… what for? Move on
