Nkana lament Mbewe departure

Nkana have admitted they will miss striker Festus Mbewe.

The big Nkana striker is away on a six month loan stay at Golden Arrows in South Africa.

“We will miss him we can’t pretend,” Mwale said.

The striker scored 13 goals in his first season with Nkana following his move from Zesco United last January to help them to the 2013 league title.

“He was an influence in our team and of course we have to give him our blessings,” Mwale said.

With Mbewe away, the pressure is on new signings Francis Kombe and Shadreck Musonda to fill the big strikers boots and partner Renyold Kampamba.

  1. I never saw any signs of even coming closer to DROUGBA’S performance , the boy is a failure, NKANA is better off without the mbeba eater

  2. Support the lad, he will improve as he goes on. he was worse at Zesco thats why they released him, he did better at Nkana so he will do even better at Golden Arrows coz he has gotten confident and he would want to remain in RSA, so he will work even harder unless he is a fool to return home after six months loan is over.

    • Of course he had some bad days , but for us who watched him week in and week out , I can say opposing defenders didn’t like him !

  3. I never followed his scoring abilities. What ever the case we wish him well.
