It was another forgettable weekend for Zambia’s European based stars as they returned from their respective winter breaks.
FRANCE
Nathan Sinkala saw red in Sochaux’s 2-0 home loss against Montpellier on Saturday.
The midfielder was sent off in the 36th minutes just 11 minutes after receiving his initial booking in the 24th minute.
Sinkala started the game alongside his compatriot’s defender Stopilla Sunzu, who played the full 90 minutes, and striker Emmanuel Mayuka who was substituted in the 46h minute.

Striker Rodgers Kola was sidelined in Gent 1-0 home defeat to Kortrijk on Saturday in their first game back from holidays.

And on the same date in Cyprus, midfielder William Njobvu came on in the 66th minute for second from bottom Enosis’ 1-0 home defeat at the hands of 7th placed AEK Larnaca.
ISRAEL
In Israel defender Emmanuel Mbola missed 10th placed Hapoel Ra’anana’s 4-1 home loss at the hands of 5th positioned Hapoel Tel Aviv on Saturday.
This is after flying back to his base over the weekend after attending to a family matter in Zambia.
