Zesco United coach Tenant Chembo says he is thrilled to be shortlisted for the 2013 MTN-FAZ Super League coach of the year award.

Chembo will compete for the top coaching award against Nchanga Rangers trainer Fighton Simukonda and Nkana coach Masauso Mwale.

In an interview, the charismatic coach said he was honored by the nomination.

Chembo guided Zesco to finishing as runner-up in the Super League.

“I am really thrilled for being recognized as you know we have many seasoned good coaches in the country,” he said.

“It is an honour and I really appreciate,” Chembo added.

The ex-Ndola Lime and Indeni trainer revealed that he never expected the shortlist.

“It is really a surprise because there are a lot of good coaches in the country.”
