Kondwani- We’ll do our best in Confed Cup

Zesco United skipper Kondwani Mtonga is confident that the Ndola side will have a good run in the 2014 CAF Confederation Cup.

Mtonga’s Zesco will face Ferroviario Beira of Mozambique in the first round of the Confederation Cup early in March.

The Chipolopolo midfielder said Zesco will do their best in the continental competition.

“We will do our best and go further in the competition. We just have to work hard,” Mtonga said.

Tennant Chembo’s side will be in Mozambique for the first leg on 2nd March before the return match set for Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola a week later.

Mtonga played-down Zesco’s recent win-less streak in pre-season friendlies.

“We are not worried about losing friendlies those were just preparatory matches,” he said.

Mtonga added:”Losing friendlies will even motivate us more. We learnt one or two things from those matches.”

Zesco were on bye in the preliminary round of the second tier African club competition.
