Coach George Lwandamina has remained confident that Zesco United will attain the club’s target of reaching the group phase of the 2014 CAF Confederation Cup.
Zesco will face Ghana’s Medeama in the two-legged, second round this month for a place in the last 16 where they will be joined by losers from this months Champions League last 16 round of games.
Lwandamina said Zesco have good chances of advancing to the group phase of this year’s second tier of African club competition.
“There are overwhelming chances of reaching the group stage.We can attain our objective of reaching the group stage,” Lwandamina said.
Zesco reached the second on Saturday after beating Ferroviario da Beira of Mozambique 1-0 in Ndola to win with the same score line on aggregate.
“It is is good that we have qualified I commend the boys for the job well done.”
Meanwhile, Medeama will host Zesco in the first leg on 23rd March in Sekondi before the return match in Ndola a week later.
