Nkana fail to impress against Roan

Share

Nkana continue to blow hot and cold in the 2014 FAZ Super League season after drawing 0-0 at home against Roan United at Nkana Stadium in Kitwe.

The draw was their third straight scoreless draw since the season started and have now amassed three points from as many games played with a match in hand.

Saturday’s result on the other hand was good news for Roan who picked up their first point of the season after three successive defeats since the season began on March 15.

Meanwhile, Nkana had two great opportunities to walk away with the three points in the first half when Evans Kangwa fired his free kick on the woodwork in the 8th minute.

Four minutes before halftime Ronald Kampamba failed to convert a penalty after shooting his spot kick straight at ex-Power Dynamos goalkeeper Evans Mwewa.

Roan gave Nkana a late scare in the 90th minute when Victor Kashitu thumped his shot off the beam before the final whistle put an end to what was lethargic display by the 2013 champions.

Nkana moved from 11th to 9th while Roan lead from 16t to 12th after four games played.

  1. Nkana used to do good after Evans Kangwa left. And that Ronald Kampamba, ka jandilila fye ama penalty, I never heard of him scoring a penalty.
