A BY ELECTIONS IN KASAMA IS UNNECESSARY AND SHOULD BE REJECTED
The recent call by Justice Minister and PF Secretary General Wynter Kabimba for party supporters in Kasama to prepare for a by election cannot pass without a comment.
As MMD youths, we find it appalling that Mr Kabimba, a State Counsel could find it reasonable to issue statements about a matter which is court.
The fate of Kasama MP Geoffrey Mwamba will be decided by the courts of law and Mr Kabimba is fully aware of that.
By urging his party to prepare for a by election signals that the PF is privy to the outcome of the court process which will find to be prejudicial and even contemptuous.
The behaviour of the Justice Minister who is appointed to protect and defend the arms of justice is shocking.
We do understand that as Secretary General of the PF, Mr Kabimba’s performance is judged by the number of by elections he occasions. We are also fully aware that Mr Kabimba desperately wants to wipe out Mr Mwamba’s presence in the PF in order to entrench his position in the PF and position himself for the presidency of the PF.
As much as we would like to restrain ourselves from commenting on PF internal politics, the case of Kasama is even more curious because it speaks to the core of the need to preserve democracy which was hard won.
As MMD youths, we will not sit and watch political misfits like Mr Kabimba tear down our democracy to serve their selfish and narrow interests.
We call upon all Zambians especially the youths to reject this devilish type of politics that Mr Kabimba has introduced. By elections as much as they are constitutionally provided for a conducted a great tax payer expense. We should therefore restrict them to natural causes such as death.
Our fiscal position as a country today is in bad shape and occasioning a by election which is totally unwarranted is not in the best interest of the country and our democracy.
Mr Mwamba has clearly stated his desire to remain a Member of Parliament for Kasama Central under the PF until 2016. We therefore find it disheartening that Mr Kabimba still wants to push for a by election in Kasama.
The residents of Kasama should equally join us in rejecting this pending by election. Refuse to be used to plunder national resources which could go into improvements into the health and education infrastructure.
We also wish to remind Mr Kabimba that Zambians gave the PF a mandate to improve their lives and not to cause perpetual by elections. Zambians are not interested in all year electioneering. They are sick and tired of hearing election promises which cannot be fulfilled. Zambians want cheaper mealie meal, Zambians want cheaper transport costs, Zambians want a stable foreign exchange and Zambians want a President who is clear about the national vision.
Zambians do not want by elections.

The PF Fist Symbol simply means that the PF is just telling us that the PF is a FIVE-YEAR(One-Term) Government.So every time they make a fist,they’re just telling us not to worry because it’s only 5Years,and they’re gone.

This is the first time I have heard you make sense Bowman. Even if they went ahead with a bi-election, they will not win against the son of bembas GBM.
OK, let there be a by-election in Kasama Central, but only on one condition – Kabimba should stand against GBM and the winner takes all. Of course Kabimba shall win because he is a very popular politician and he thinks he should be the next president.

MMD is indeed on it’s death-bed. Even street children of the Lusambo ilk are given carte-blanche to make all manner of political statements.
Can someone tell us who is Bowman Lusambo? which schools, primary, secondary & tertiary he attended. what does he do in life when not politicking. am dying to know!
Mr Kabimba surely people like Lusambo can see that you are wrong then what more with the people of that side?GBM has done nothing to be disliked like this sir,GBM is just a clean person who needs some respect for what he did for the pf to win.Be thankful to him coz without him u where not to have votes from that side.
