PF Secretary General, Wynter Kabimba, has disbanded the interim Provincial Executive Committee in Eastern Province, saying the ruling party does not recognize it.

Mr Kabimba said this morning on Chipata’s Feel Free radio programme dubbed ‘The Big Issue’ that the interim committee in Eastern Province had no blessings from the Central Committee and President Michael Sata as required in the party guidelines.

He stated that the PF Central Committee only recognized Provincial chairperson, Lameck Mangani, who was appointed by the Head of State and part president.

Mr Kabimba, who is also Justice Minister, stated that for someone in the party to hold a position he or she is supposed be subjected to election and also have a letter from the Central Committee.

“I am thereby appealing to the wards, constituencies and districts in the region to end intraparty conflicts and infighting as it is taking our party backwards. We are the governing party and we expect to see maximum discipline and unity within the party more than ever before,” he added.

Mr Kabimba advised the Provincial chairperson to work with structures at district level to spearhead party programmes.

He also noted that all positions will be subjected to an election except that of provincial chairperson although he stressed the need to seek clarification from the President over the matter.

He further appealed to PF members in the region, Chipata in particular, to ensure that they were united and there was discipline and guarantee that the members were not fighting but spend their energies on party mobilization.

Mr Kabimba noted that burden for the party to remain strong and win elections depended on Mr Mangani who is party chairperson, adding that he should ensure the party remains united by providing leadership and discipline in the PF.

He appealed to Mr Mangani to ensure that the ruling party wins all pending by-elections in the province.
“He should show good leadership and discipline if the party gets stronger and wins the pending by-elections in Kasenengwa, Malambo, Petauke and Vubwi constituencies which are currently awaiting court ruling,” he said.

The SG also urges people in Eastern Province to rally behind the PF, failure to which he said the province would continue to lag behind in terms of development.

  1. Kabimba busy, from one province to the other.iliko bad I guess.strecthing his muscles for everyone to see he is ready to fight.

    • KABIMBA HAS STARTED CAMPAGNING……HE IS TALKING OF ELECTIONS AND HE HAS NEVER WON ONE.ALL WHAT HE IS, IS THAT,HEMCS APPOINTED HIM

    • Today was so hectic.i had visited Rusternburg yesterday and was returning to Jo’burg Via Pretoria. In all the the cities I had an opportunity to drive around their high density residential areas and was so impressed not to see anyone with a PANGA or an INJURY from one – very civilized way of conducting elections! But what’s wrong with us in Zambia? Can’t we learn something from a country with such a brutal past? I’ve heard & read about international election observers that have come but I doubt ECZ is one of them – they are busy sharpening their pandas for 2016…CRY MY BELOVED ZAMBIA!!!!!!!

    • KABIMBA, PF AND THEIR PRIMITIVE POLITICS:

      1. Ati ” …the central committee only recognizes provincial party chairperson Lamerk Mangani who was APPOINTED by the president…” In well organised politics a party provincial chairperson would be ELECTED BY THE PROVINCE and not appointed by a dictator in Lusaka. PF positions should be differentiated from govt positions over which the president can exercise his executive powers to APPOINT! In the party we VOTE for office bearers.

      2.

    • PF has redefined democracy, appointing someone and excluding them to elections is nothing but dictatorship at it best. That is the only explanation for Mangani to remain as Eastern Party chairperson. People in this country are not serious, why can’t they challenge Kabimba to explain what kind of democracy he and his boss are practicing within PF? How does someone think this party will promote democracy in the nation if all key positions are up for appointments and not subjected to elections as suggested in the PF manifesto or constitution

    • 2. They party in government has an obligations to develop EVERY PARTY OF THE COUNTRY EQUALLY AND FAIRLY IRRESPECTIVE OF THEIR ELECTION RESULTS.

  2. Wynter Kabimba is a master of confusion. When Mangani was appointed by Sata why weren’t others appointed too to help with the organization of the party in the province? How many times is the Leadership in the province going to be disbanded? Kabimba does like Mangani and he knows the province does not like Mangani. So why hasn’t Kabimba recommended to his boss that Mangani must go too? Becomes he has no love for PF and he knows Mangani cannot mobilize people in the province where he is hated. PF will not win a seat in Eastern province. Petauke, Malambo, Vumbwi and Kasenengwa are there for the taking. Now if only MMD can organize itself better! UPND can become a surprise package in EP if Nyangu and Dora are not handled well.

  3. Kabimba is the CEO of PF, but he had this to say, and quote:
“He also noted that all positions will be subjected to an election except that of provincial chairperson although he stressed the need to seek clarification from the President over the matter”, end of quote
Now, if he has to seek clarification even on a matter so basic, does this not make him the president’s walking stick as HH observed? Niti ya cocota kwa pilu wa kayuwe kwa malete.

  4. At one time during the Muvi TV assignment programme, Kabimba categorically stated that Mangani was not a member of the PF. He told the presenter that the adoption of Mangani by the PF during the 2011 General Elections was merely a marriage of convenience. I totally agree when someone says Kabimba doesn’t like Mangani. It’s just that Sata appointed Mangani and Kabimba has to toll the line. In reality, the two just co-exist.

  5. kabimba should stop threatening people that if they do not vote for the ruling party there will be no development Money used is not P F money but state money.
