Nkana cast aside their grief for 90 minutes when they came from a go down to draw 1-all with Ivory Coast side Sewe Sport in a Group B clash.
The Zambian champions lost their head Coach Masauso Mwale yesterday in a road traffic accident and players wore black bands in honour of the deceased trainer.
The visitors silenced the home crowd with an 18th minute strike from Roger Assale who got the better of Billy Mwanza to lob the ball over Rabson Muchelenganga.
However, Nkana emerged from the break a revived side and Ronald ‘Sate Sate’ Kampamba hit the target in the 54th minute to give the home crowd something to cheer about.
Nkana found themselves a man down in the 80th minute when Billy Mwanza was red carded for a second bookable offence.
The Zambian side remains rooted at the foot of the table after only managing one point in two games.
Great. At least they haven’t lost.
But they lost their coach, how can you say its great.
Masauso was gentleman mwee.
We re really Zambian Champions as i said early on b4 the game, our coach was honoured thru 1 – all draw. Who can perform to the expectation after lossing a PARENT(Coach) to me a DRAW was ok.
