MMD President Nevers Mumba has advised the Patriotic Front to allow President Michael Sata to rest.

Dr. Mumba says President Sata should from now on be excused from attending state functions until he fully recovers.

He said President Sata’s failure to officially open the Heroes stadium on Sunday and his conduct during the recent Labour Day celebrations are a source of concern.

[pullquote]We feel that the way that the PF Government led by Mr Wynter Kabimba’s crusade to continue to push the President beyond his physical capacity is unfair, it is unfortunate.[/pullquote]

“Firstly we as the MMD are deeply concerned on the recent developments arising from State House. On Labour Day, we issued a statement that the President’s one minute speech fell below the expectations of the Zambian people and I did indicate that the Zambian people expect a lot of the President,” Dr Mumba said.

He added, “We feel that the way that the PF Government led by Mr Wynter Kabimba’s crusade to continue to push the President beyond his physical capacity is unfair, it is unfortunate. Obviously we can see that the President is not doing well and our advice is that they should allow the President to rest and recover before exposing him to these strenuous programmes.”

Dr Mumba said the PF must come to face reality that if President Sata is not well, a decision must be made to put him on hold for him to recover.

  1. Winter Kabimba,Fred Mmembe and Nchito want to kill our president. They must not not be allowed to do this.People voted Sata and not Mmembe or Kabimba

    • That is disrespectful of the president who if recent pictures are anything to by, he could easily make it
      And rule until 2021
He is not tired, the freedom of speech is being abused here and I am sure you will agree with me

      Thanks

    • Zambia is under our indirect rule. It won’t be long before we start ruling you directly. You can yapp or you want but the truth is we are taking over very soon.

    • Crap statement coming from pastor Mumbwe.Sata is fine, it is only the opposition and biased media thats wants him sick.I always say that “People only see what they want to see .” The thing is they want and expect him to be sick and it is what they see when they look at his pictures and activity. Its all in the brain.

    • Leave Dr. Kaseba alone, she has tried her best to restrain her husband, you can only force a horse to go to a river to drink water but you cannot force it to drink water, Christine has tried her best what else do you expect her to do, she is only human, let us all feel for her.

    • THE MAN OF GOD AT WORK,GOOD ADVICE TO OUR BROTHERS IN PF.SPECIALLY THE DEMONIC ANOITED AGENT,WINTER KABIMBA.ALL WHAT THIS MAN IS INTERESTED IN, IS TO PREPARE FOR HIS GROUNDS TO BECOME PRESIDENT.BUT IT WON T WORK IN A CHRISTIAN NATION LIKE ZAMBIA.WE PRAY THAT GOD HEALS OUR PRESIDENT IN JESUS NAME……

    • Nevers being sincere? Ask former members of Victory International. Nevers is a cheat. I know his prayer for the Head of state

    • GOD,FORGIVE ME…. ANY EVIL WORDS AND COMENTS I HAVE MADE AGANIST HEMCS. CLEAR ME BEFORE YOU MY GOD,AND BEFORE MAN ,IN JESUS NAME .AMEN

    • Mt dear Mushota,
You are always voted down so badly! Why don’t you refrain from making absurd comments? Cant you sense the wind? Cant you see the mood of the country? There is nothing wrong to express concern about the President.

  2. The president needs to rest and recover, it is no longer a secret that he is sick. We might not know what he is suffering from but the man is sick.

    • I agree with you. If he has to win the elections in 2016 by a big margin (according to Dr Mike Kaingu) he deserves that much needed rest….

    • Yes Ba Sata is physically ill, and worse part is that he is get some mental attacks, or emotional breakdown. Resting while in Zambia might not help, he should go to some islands or in Vatican for meditation and prayers,

  3. Stop the sugar coating, the poor fellow is done and dusted.Just put it to him to resign and save his soul.Everybody with eyes have seen,i feel sorry for him though despite his past of mocking the sick.

  4. I have never liked Mumbwe but one this one he is right , it was sad to see the president pushing him self so hard, and the first lady was globe trotting, what is more important meeting that Melinda gates who is killing Children in tne name of vaccines or your husband’s health?
Ask ba maureeen she was also in luxury in paris at the time , now she cant even afford economy tickets.Tekeni amtako panshi ba kaseba.

  5. people of zambia let just pray for the president and the nation at large so that he can recove. soon , yes he can rest as u sayin bt you same people u came and say why he is nt shoin up let just pray for him .

  6. Spot on Dr Mumba, I do not see any malicious advice in his statement. In fact some of us thought about this long before the 2013 labour day celebrations. The biggest problem is that the people surrounding hing love His excellence MCS only to the extent that they can eat from him by being appointed Justice minister, Director of public prosecution (DPP), being editors of print media that can be awarded contracts and be pardoned for borrowing tax payers money just to name a few. The first lady should be in the fore front to ensure that her husband receives proper advice. No amount of medicine will heal anybody who cannot rest. Hence the advice from Dr Mumba is timely and in line with christian principles. Ba Sata we need you to healthy and fit for the high office.

  7. Please Mr Sata, retire. In Cuba Fidel Castrol retired due to failing health but his advice is still useful to the current government, and he is still relevant. I will soon print a placard reading “#bringbackourpresident”, and demonstrate at the Post Newspapers!!!

  8. Kabimba and the cartels wants mcs to vanish so as to takeover,he mislead him to appear in court, mislead sata that pf can become the majority in parliament,I’ll advised sata to kick out GBM,he is brutalizing the citizens through his Sudan trained pf militia,he opening said pf is the most violate party since independence,he opening maintain that pf is a regional party,he has transferred moderate judges and he questioned the integrity of ECZ officials when the refused his dark corner deals.is this the man Zambia wants?as for me and my entire clan we say NO vote for Winter.

  9. The above picture catched my attention, look how Roy chileshe ‘s eyes direct looking at mcs.the hands of mcs look whitish.can us citizens use any legal means to make sata rest?but am again stuck who will rule while he is on sick leave, because Dr Scott does not qualify and ABC is not very much interested.

  10. Amdala pumulani. Ailments at such an advanced age do take their toll and the demanding rigours of your high office can negate the healing process. In any case, old age itself is an ailment enough; every hinge about one’s body sqeaks as my experience with my late old folks showed. Kabimba is better placed to advise the old man to stand down except his survival depends on sata – well or unwell. Pathetic.

  11. Though a politician, Mumba means well and his advice must be taken seriously. Thanks Nevers for your being brave. Of course, people will call you names but you are just trying to help the situation. Sata needs bed rest.

  12. ….The kama ‘cage’ needs a touch up coat of paint.

…In 1997, a boxer Felix Bwalya died a week after his controversial victory. He was exhausted and knocked down but the overzealous supporters physically ‘helped’ him onto his feet….literally pushed him back into the arena….died 7days later claiming he had malaria…..How could the ring side doctors, his trainer allow him step in the ring in that condition….simple, they just focused on the money and a fame/glory of winning and not Bwalya’s life….
Surely there must have been a lesson learnt…but chose to ignore it and lost LPM…
    Once bitten twice shy….

  13. Those pale hands give it away! Something is ebbing out of this man. He sure must take a rest. Or better still, just stand down and let some else take the reins of power. It will be most insensitive of the citizery to let him continue in that state however much we may love him.

  14. Catched? Ki ki ki ki. This is Chi-English. Catched(hidden/stashed) is there in english. But the past tense for ‘catch’ as you wanted to use it is ‘caught’.

    • @and u says, that’s not error of English but placed wrong suggested word,my smart phone displays suggestions of words.anyway thanks for your time reading my comments and advice taken.was stealing company time.

  15. IT IS TRUE THAT HE MICHAEL SATA NEEDED REST
The problem lies with the same destructive opposition which have built politics on personalities than ideologies.
Dr Nevers mumba despite being man of God has gone away from what the church took stand that Zambia has to be ruled through SOCAILISM
Dr Nevers Mumba is ignorant about this and that is why he is loosing position in MMD.
How ever Dr Nevers Mumba will not loose son ship of God.
PF under socialism will live for ever but ignorance by grass root may cost us heavily.
Any one easily lead PF so long he oor she understand principles of socialism.
We already have guidelines from Dr Kenneth Kaunda extensive books which beats other political parties.

    • WHAT HAS THIS GOT TO DO WITH SATA BEING ASKED TO REST???@SOCIALISM???LOOK THE ADVICE THE MAN OF GOD IS GIVING.HE DIDN ASK TO CONSTITUTE A COMMISION TO SATE IF HEMCS IS HEALTH TO RULE OR NOT.HE ASK HIM IF HE CAN
TAKE SAME REST AND NOT TO OVER STRESS HIMSELF……

  16. IT IS NOT WYNTER KABIMBA KEEP THE PRESIDENT BUT IGNORANCE OF THE MAJORITY PEOPLE AND SELFISH OPPOSITION

  17. @Scrutinizerrer
You are right my friend(assuming you were), i do not understand why at this time and age some people can think that there is a lot of profit in taking over political leadership when you dont have the right age, health and knowledge base. We had Mwanawasa whom visibly was not in good standing with health to go for second term as a republican president, but what happened…?
    @simonmula
If you are too shallow minded its better you just keep your shallow mind to yourself!

  18. Chi Engineer (Australia), you economic refugee, leave Mwanawasa out of this. What are you celebrating for? Shame on you. Just go and see your frail relatives you have left in the village. Did I say economic refugee? No waliya ku Australia mukupula. Mind you Sata is still the president and running the show peacefully. You wish him ill and death, the entire PF always pray for him. So chill out you economic refugee.

  19. ba Nervas why are u advising anything about the president because you are a mixture of chicalas in a chicanda along with vigaina juices. full of cap ba nevers mumba

  20. Hihihihihihihi………all you thugs arguing just made me laugh like crazy! So tired didnt feel like commenting but couldnt help it, indeed you are funny as hell!

  21. From the look of two shaking hands, his hand is so pale. Surely giving a sign of anemia from the medical point of view. Hope the people that care for him the most should just come out in the open and then the quicker he will recover.

    #getwellsoonMrPresident.
