OFFICIAL STATEMENT

For Immediate Release

Saturday 17th June 2014

Kabimba’s confession during 2011 elections

The confession by PF Secretary General Wynter Kabimba that PF in opposition was involved in illegal activities during the 2011 elections is really shocking and raises serious doubts on the number of illegal activities being conducted now that PF is government.

During his party mobilization tour of Eastern Province last week, Mr. Kabimba was quoted as saying that he smuggled Kenyans through Nakonde border to came and conduct PF Parallel Voter Tabulation (PVT).

Mr. Kabimba further confessed that had PF won elections, he would have been arrested by now.

As UPND, we do not know when the law changed and so it is clear he committed an offence by smuggling people across the Zambian border.

It was a clear violation of the security of the country and breach of immigration regulations for Mr. Kabimba to have engaged in illegal activities which he now seems proud of.

There is no doubt Kabimba was harbouring illegal immigrants in Zambia which is against the law and his confession must now be acted upon.

That’s why we in the opposition have always been saying PF are bent on rigging any coming elections, because if they were able to engage in such illegality while in opposition, what more now that they are in power.

PF won elections by only about 200,000 votes against MMD. What can stop them now from bringing in more than 500,000 people from neighboring countries to come and vote in Zambia?

And the Electoral Commission of Zambia must come clean on this one on whether these Kenyans were credited to participate in Zambia’s electoral process as per legal provisions.

  1. You are just hopeless and spineless losers who enjoy crying at anything and everything.

Being in the opposition is not for weak souls with brains of amoebas like those in upnd

    mulekosa ba kablwe

  2. ichi muntu nachichita confess, next is to gather all possible documentation and then sue him. but then again sue him under which legal system that might be seen as fair? bwafya sana, the only way is to start eliminating some of these useless buggers. Now i understand why people do the things people do to other people as seen the world over. it is the injustice they suffer that pushes them to the extremes. If a man is stripped of all possible means to fight for his justice, he will use the last weapon available to him and that is his body. Be very very careful PF, and never push people into a corner where they have no clear means to fight back. Backlash from such maneuvers is quite costly!!!!

  3. That is exactly what a vibrant opposition party does and not just making noise.Ba upnd make yourselves relevant to the Zambian politics. i very much doubt the upnd leadership’s thinking capacity. You wanted the PF to tell rupiah that they were bringing in PVT experts from Kenya and were therefore seeking his permission? How dull and unthinking can this upnd be!!! Your president is busy in BULOZILAND underating the PF that it is a one term govt. Are sure ba cilema? Kaingu has already told you that in your current tribalistic, inexperienced state, no sane zambian can vote for you to form govt. Of course BANTUSTAN people in their usual unthinking fashion will give you 500,000 votes out of 3,851,685 voters and you think that can give you power to govern? Change your style of politics.

  4. Ba kapita, just go and campaign naimwe. everyday ni upnd in news crying over everything. If you can’t win just join them
    Shame

  5. Kabimba does not need political competiters. He is capable of de-campaigning himself alone. His current tour of duty has done more harm than good. And if he is not carefull he maybe laying the foundation for his future prosecution. What an Lawyer.

  6. No wonder we have a lot of these fellows in Zambia pretending to be IT specialists. They were hired for some dirty reasons!!!They must be sent back…we can start publishing their names

  7. is there justice in our country anymore, I wonder; but the fact still stands, why is kabimba disclosing this now; there is something sinister going on;

  8. Most of the bye-elections we having been having have been caused by uncalled for reasons. I can just imagine if it were the MMD who found themselves in this situation. Sata was going to be moving with empty container at feeling stations attracting attention demanding for flesh elections!!!!
