First Zambian President Kenneth Kaunda has congratulated Zambia and China for the 50 years of fruitful and cordial relations that have existed between the two countries.
Dr. Kaunda said Zambia’s relationship with China is real and is based on many principles of trust and mutual understanding.
The former Head of State noted that Zambia and China have over the years successfully worked together in every corner of cooperation for the benefit of the people of the two countries.
He said in an interview at his residence at State Lodge in Lusaka today that the cooperation between Zambia and China need to be enhanced for the good of the people.

Dr. Kaunda said President Michael Sata has shown political will to continue to enhancing bilateral relations for social and economic development between Zambia and China.
He said President Sata and his government have managed to handle Zambia-China relations better than the Movement for Multi-party Democracy (MMD) administration.
He noted that since assuming office in 2011, government delegations have visited China in an effort to strengthen bilateral ties, saying these high level visits have been of immense benefit to Zambia.
And Dr. Kaunda has urged Zambians to continue loving and embracing one another as the country celebrates 50 years of its independence.
He said Zambians should not forget God’s commandment that directs people to love God their creator and their fellow human beings which he said is of paramount importance as the country moves forward.
Dr. Kaunda said there will be no problems in the country if the nation heed to the commandment of the Lord, saying the country will grow continue to bigger in all aspects of the country’s economy.
Mr. Kaunda, first of all sir, we want you to know that we are not kids whom you can just toss around like toys. Mr. KK it’s on record that you once labled and called Sata and his PF non starters and also as bunch of political goons. But alas, today Sata and the PF are angels, who are you chitting Mr.KK. If we ask you to explain on your misdeeds you start crying and wanting us to feel sorry for you. Mr. KK just rest and be respected, avoid peddling your self in Politics stay home and keep away from politics. You mean 50 years of what? what did you in that 50 years if not killing and jailing your opponents? Chiluba did better than your 27 shameful years even though he was not straight. Levy even better. What has PF done that has impressed you that much?

China’s economy is headed towards the stratosphere while Zambia’s is stagnant and stunted and goes only backwards when it moves, a typical pariah state. If you had such a powerful and rich friend for 50 years wouldn’t it follow that some of your rich friend’s success habits should rub on you? Why then aren’t you rich like your friend? The answer is for the past 5 decades Zambia’s leadership has comprised of empty heads, except Levy, incapable of learning even simple things, even copying and pasting seems hard work. We can forgive KK for his sycophantic utterances, he is after all the originator and master of boot-licking.

Dr Kaunda sir, how true is your statement? The best you could have said was to commend Mr Sata for having changed his stance from his anti-Chinese rhetoric that characterised his pre-election campaigns. I don’t think there’s any major change in Zambian foreign policy.
Seeing Dokota Kaunda floods my memories with his one party participatory democracy where he used to contest against the frog even though the frog still managed to get about 15% of the votes. It also reminds me of vigilantes and endless curfews in the townships. It also reminds me of hyperinflation with food shortages and pot holes. It also reminds me of the one and only supreme ruler, Dokota Kaunda for peace and development. In other words, I see a total failure and a man who will go down in history as having impoverished Zambia, while he himself enjoys first world comfort.
You forgot to mention when he ran out of ideas to develop the country he hired the maharish heaven on earth guys to create a paradise in Zambia, another conman convinced him he could turn Zambia into an oil sheikdom if he could invest in grass, he established Kaunda worship and almost turned state house into a temple, thank goodness people rejected that with the same contempt they rejected the ‘disaster stadium’ name, marketeers and school kids lining up the streets from morning to evening waiting for him to pass by on his way to or from the airport, severe beatings by paramilitary thugs if you are not indoors by 18 hrs during curfews. It’s impossible to find even one small redeeming attribute, he hasn’t, just like Sata. The list of goofs is almost endless
Dr Kaunda is the best president this country has ever had.All the infrastructure that is present in Zambia is due to Kaunda.Most of us who insult are elders on online publications got free education from Kaunda.Kaunda with his tribal balancing in government and parastatal appointments eradicated tribalism that’s why Zambia has never had a civil.Chiluba was a stupid Congolese thief.Mwanawasa is the second best president.Banda is the third best president.Sata is a failure and his living proof that prostitutes do give birth.Kaunda is best president ever period.
don’t speculate, be factual! the doctor ran this country into the ground. what infrastructure are you talking of? a few buildings? as opposed to the infrastructure and road network inherited from the whites which he again ran down? leaving us with potholes and 9 billion dollars in debt which mwanawasa and chiluba had to sacrifice hard to pay off.
