Given Lubinda has has forgiven his enemies within the Patriotic Front (PF)who schemed for his downfall, which resulted in his losing his ministerial position and the membership of the party’s central committee .
He said this yesterday when he featured on the Millennium Radio programme; “The Interview”.

Mr Lubinda who is Kabwata member of Parliament said he had courage to confront some of his enemies by telling them off and declaring that he had forgiven them and that he did not hold any bitterness against them.

“I told them that if I don’t tell you, it means I have not forgiven you, I have forgiven you. I came to realise that during that period, I was acting like a very foolish man who was carrying this bitterness like a person drinking poison slowly and saying he must die, he must die.

“It was me who was dying and not them. They were going about their things happily and I was suffering. So I decided that no!; can you take this cup of poison away from me, can you take this cup of bitterness away from me and let me be who I am,” he said.

Mr. Lubinda said he could not afford to keep the bitterness because he could have died before aging.

“I have no bitterness against anyone, I am totally at peace firstly with myself, I am at peace with everybody and whoever had a hand in this, I am sure that they have realised that I am at peace. I don’t carry the grudge; I don’t want to die before I age,” he said.

He said he felt disappointed after some of his colleagues in the ruling party schemed against him on allegations that he was selling party secrets to the Daily Nation, the opposition political parties and some other bodies. Mr. Lubinda who is former Minister of Foreign Affairs said he was not a traitor in the PF as perceived by some PF officials.

“I am still as innocent as I have always been, am still as innocent as I was in 2006 when United Liberal Party (ULP) formed a pact with the Patriotic Front party and later became a member of the PF.

“Whatever happens, happens for a reason, I have to be honest, I was quiet bitter…So when this episode of carrying mock coffins happened and so forth, then I knew I was being victimised, I was so bitter,” said Mr. Lubinda. He said he had completely forgiven people who wanted him out of the party and has healed from the victimisation he went through. Mr. Lubinda said he had cried enough and that he could no longer cry but to stand up and pick up broken pieces and move on.

“But like the old adage says; time heals, over time I have come to understand things better, I have come to look at things with a clear vision and I say to myself, so be it I cannot continue to cry,” said Mr. Lubinda.
Mr. Lubinda said he was disappointed with his colleagues in the PF because he felt that they wanted to push him out of the party.

“I want to inform you and listeners that I heard about my suspension through the press and to-date I have not received any letter telling me that I was suspended. Certainly I received two letters alleging that I had done this and that and that I was leaking information to the Daily Nation Newspapers and the opposition and so forth. There was also an element in there that I was actually a suspect of espionage. “I was also suspected that I had leaked information to a foreign national and not a foreign company but a foreign government, a state. And I responded to deny all those allegations before I was called for a meeting which I believed that it was going to be a hearing, at that meeting there were colleagues of mine who were sitting and asking me why are these things happening,” he said.

Mr. Lubinda said to-date he had not received the judgement, adding that, “I don’t know what I was found guilty of. On this one I still stand accused because even when they said my suspension has come to an end, I did not receive a letter. I just saw in the press that my suspension is over; I am free to interact with the rest of the party. But as far as I am concerned this never happened at all. You know the provisions of the PF constitution is that if you are not happy or dissatisfied with the ruling you can use that ruling to appeal to the senior organ, but now what is it that I can use now. I have got nothing.”

  1. Tell them my brother! Iam sure you know more than us. I think the cobra is no more and now you can speak freely. The cartel were after your down fall but did not have the courage to go through a bye election in Kabwata. They are cowards!

    • Name them so that we also forgive them. When you were crucified, so were we, your electors because our judgement was insulted.

    • Give,, please name all of them. Am itching to know them, so we forgive them in the way we know how. Please Given, do us just this one Favour.

These bafoons though you were a threat to the PF Presidency, Damn just see how wrong they were.

  2. I can identify with you Given. People do frame innocent people, but God is just and does vindicate the victimised.

That is the way to go.

    • Now Sata should use his on experience to believe that future presido Lubinda is an innocent man.
People, including me, said so many thing on how SERIOUS ill Ba Sata was, while in Israel. He could believe that Ba Sata was on working holiday, and who could believe that Lubinda never committed any espionage case?
Ba Sata appears in pictures, and the people say no we need to hear his voice. The same happened to Lubinda, he entered cabinet meeting, and got chased by the now ill Sata that am told by Kabimba that you Lubinda is “treacherous”.
Listen Kabimba, God is not in wheel-chair he will catch-up with you.

  3. While you drink your Gin and Tonic be mindful of what comes out of your mouth.
You are an intelligent man just quit the booze.

  4. Then you are a fool Given, you haven’t been told what you are guilty of and yet you still remain in the PF hoping that one day you will be given back a ministerial position and allowed back in the Central committee. Do you think those perceived enemies will miraculously change and start being your friend?? You might say you forgive them but deep inside you still want bad things to happen to them.

    • People remain in a party because they believe in the ideologies which the party stands for not for the purpose of landing a ministerial position. You will never hear of Democrats becoming Republicans just coz they are not nominated as congressmen, they remain Democrats till death

    • @ Chilala

“People remain in a party because they believe in the ideologies…”???
Can you please clarify what is the ideology of PF?

    • *****, you want to compare PF politics to that of States? What ideologies does PF stand for. Their own president doesn’t know what is going on. How do you explain a leader who remains mute and doesn’t want to leave State house to interact with the people who voted him into power. The only time he leaves is for “working holidays” and doesn’t provide information of what investors he was wooing. Given is remaining in PF because it is the Party in Government and praying he can be afforded his positions he lost. He should just remain quiet the way GBM has.

    • Why leave a party because of some pipo that hate you? You leave a party because of the differences in beliefs and fundamental ideologies. That is the reason why we have too many problems today in zambian politics because pipo tend to cross parties looking for fertile grounds to enjoy comfort even when they have no idea about the cornerstones and foundations of the party they are in, they follow the wind where ever it goes. I salut the big man for showing maturity……..the truth will still come out. Unless of course he is not telling the truth.

  5. Lubinda are you stupid? If you did no receive a letter then why stay mute like Sata? You are a coward boss.

  6. Thts the way to go.
I miss THOSE days whn u were in Opposition you indeed made MMD fall. Lets see wht will happen hence forth.

    God Loves Zambia.

  7. Politics has no permanent friends and the opposite is true. Given took a sensible strategy and in due course we will know if it worked for him

  8. I would never join a party or any organisation where Sata is the boss. Part of the package to expect from such association is humiliation, Sata is very good at this. To succeed in his company you have to be completely shameless and bereft of any sense of self worth, a characteristic we have seen in almost all his subordinates.

  9. Lubinda if you don’t know why u were hounded you out and need a letter then U are not as wise as u appear. U are not a player in the family forest . You are on the substitute bench just like kabimba , simuusa and Inonge Wina. These other three condoms know that they are there to be used by the family forest as tools of deception for the Zambian people. You exhibited ambition and desire to be the main man. Just look wanted happened when Kabimba wanted to become president. So put your tail between yr legs and remain a cheer leader for the Family forest and all will be well. Become ambitious and u will be hounded out again -forgiveness or no forgiveness

    • You are very right end game. In the same way that foools like Nalumango, Canicius and yourself are being used in a party with an established, proved & enshrined code that ONLY a T..g.. has CAN lead. The rest are rugs. Condoms.

  10. So what next Bwana NAISU? Continue sitting on the fence and ask your enemies to also forgive u?. Sounds quite idealist man.

  11. What was it that made those colleagues of yours Bwana Lubinda to frame charges against you? I was really disappointed when information circulated that you are a traitor who dined and wined with MMD, UPND, ZWD, Daily Nation and Cornelius Mweetwa while divulging confidentialities of PF. I was a little confused and could hardly believe this information because I believe that you are a principled person and your contribution to the success of PF is immeasurable. My introspection into this matter was why did Lubinda not betray the party and the president when it was convenient to do do when Mwanawasa and RB dangled attractive baits for spineless, unprincipled and hungry politicians to get hooked?

  12. Lubinda you stabed your self in the back when you left UPND even having been elected after the death of Mazoka. You allowed emortions to control you .You believed in what the post was telling you to hate HH.Based on tribe you chose to go with Sikota who proved that he can not run a political party but a law firm.Had he taken over UPND the party now will have been bankrupt. Now your loyal friends about to be elected in office in 2016 and because of their performance they will continue to rule for ten years while you continue to lunguish with poverty ,that’s what treachery does .

  13. Could Lubinda have thrown overboard his principles to take his Foreign Affairs Ministerial portfolio as an opportunity cost for flirting with inimical elements against PF? Could it be that Lubinda was not satisfied with his ministerial position, he wanted a higher position (vice presidency)? If Lubinda was a traitor as alleged, why did he risk himself mounting spirited fight against the monster (MMD)? If indeed Lubinda leaked out some secrets of PF, what was his conviction? Was it that PF was in a weaker phase for an opposition party to remove it from power so early after the momentous euphoria that accompanied its assumption of power? There are so many math computations regarding Given Lubinda’s enstrangement from the PF rank and file which are not giving the correct figures.

  14. Going by what Lubinda has just said, it means some people within PF harbour vendetta against innocent people and are bent on ruining their careers. It therefore, follows that they do not deserve to hold positions of responsibility. I hope Lubinda is not just forgiving those who framed lies against him, he is also informing the president that the people who told him that he was traitor should be made to retract their lies and confess.

  15. @ Sido Mark, mwaice seek specialist treatment for your hallucination. You are too young to be growing up with that morbid condition. Reality is that HH and UPND will never be in power. Given Lubinda is PF in all seasons. Stop hallucinating about UPND forming government in 2016. In fact your party will reach a break point after 2016 general elections because majority members will have grown weary of perpetual defeats.

  16. I thought the PF has already started preparing some young man for Kabwata. Bo Lubinda, you have more enemies than meets the eye. Do your homework before it is too late.
Free Advice: Join the winning team of HH before you find yourself sweeping the streets.

  17. Most of the people who were sent to carry Hon.Given Lubinda coffin have gone back on their own to ask for forgiveness , indeed they did not know what they were doing. We thank God that Hon, Lubinda stood strong when some wanted his total downfall in charged up lies. The Good Book says the truth will set you free.

  18. Let us wait when restitution will be announced for you to go back as Foreign Affairs minister. Absence of this ascension imply you remain an ordinary (ignored) PF MP, unable to assume or be considered for any senior position as the past will keep haunting you.
Given , you are like bitter medicinal leaves chewed and spat out on the ground by PF government. Those who schemed against you are very much holding PF to ransom, tell Zambians what you need to do to redeem yourself.
